Well, even though the Fed statements didn’t point to tapering, the market is acting as if they did.
IYR is off by 1.6%
TLT is off by 0.8%
The dollar is +0.7%
Stocks are lower.
Bill Gross is on CNBC saying he’s a buyer of bonds here, thinking there isn’t any signs the Fed will unwind. The yen is lower, so that’s good news. I am mixed here. The initial reaction is always bogus. I want to see IYR and TLT rebound before buying stocks again. Those two ETFs are the proverbial canary in the coal mine, with regards to rates and where the market believes they’re heading.
For now, I am still at 60% cash.

Fly Jr… you display the class and candor of such “winners” as Tim Knight, Peter Schiff, chicken little, etc and the same bearishness as well. When people see you coming to chat with them, they no doubt run the other way to avoid you. If you want to live your entire life having no more significance than some random noise on the internet, I suggest you learn to deal with people properly and behave as a gentlemen. It will also open up far more opportunities to you. But no doubt you will not heed this advice until you truly appreciate the significance of it. For now you are most likely either a cranky old man, or a young kid without respect. In either case, you hold no respect for others, they will not hold any for you.
The market is full of loons that can make an accurate call every now and then. Try surviving for years and years and thriving before you run on some random internet comment section and start spouting off like you are the king because of one call that wasn’t even that impressive. Afterall HALF the market was bearish and HALF was bullish. For now the bears are ahead but life isn’t a track meet, it’s a marathon.
And if you are a cranky old man, then you are just bitter at the world and might as well leave now. If you are neither, well your personality says otherwise.
