I was up almost 3% this morning. Now I am closing in on the flat-line. If history is of any use, we are about to reverse lower and the market is going to decapitate me.
I’ve been tempted to buy JIVE, BPI and SUPN all day. Instead, I’ve watched them outperform, as my portfolio of toppiness, well, topped out. I’ve also been tempted to buy VXX; but that’s just revenge trading on my behalf, as I am still pissed off for losing money on it for 3 years in a row.
Perhaps The Devil is right and we’re topping out. He’s short the indices and GS, paired with some of the most illiquid/annoying longs known to mankind. I just can’t get myself to buy CLIR upwards of $5.
Today’s tape really pissed me off. If I started off the day down, I could easily accept it. But to be up 3% then get swallowed whole by a shark, like a small piece of shrimp, has me punching holes through the sheetrock today.
My one silver lining is MU. I’ll sell the balance of my holdings north of $14.

GOOD LORD buy VIX June or July 13 calls instead! Those other things are a friggin joke. At least you know exactly what you got using the black shoals option pricing model. Way more effective than those vampire laden the ETN’s. Best thing might be to buy puts on the R 2000, since the QE smoothed gravy rarely lets the real VIX spike in the event of nice selloff’s.
If we have no days like today how would we buy cheap stocks….
Was holding TZA yesterday but sold because a pullback was not gaining traction. I expect the indices to begin to zig-zag mildly for at least a couple days as a precursor to any larger downard correction. Holding 12% RWM and 30% cash to be ready.

Well I guess it is hard to say it is only money when that is all you think about my friend. I had to step back and take a little vacation. I been partying like a rock star. I relearned another lesson yesterday. Don’t shadow box drunk with someone you don’t know even if your on a cool level. This guy was drunk and a crazy x sergeant from the military and he forgot not to pull one of his punch’s. so I have a nice little shiner haha… He hurt his fist though too… It’s all good I made a good friend even though he is almost exactly like Vaughn in chessnwine’s awesome Cisco kid post. lol I think he was made I beat him arm wrestling prolly punched me on purpose… Still living like a boss and partying like a rock star! I love it!

I’m holding some VXX just above 18. Really can’t go wrong in my opinion there, but i like trading ranges. If we do have a down Friday, would make DATA and MKTO more interesting, two most highly anticpated IPOs since Seaworld. Still trying to decide which one I want to play tomorrow.
