Good grief everything that gets left behind for a minute ends up bouncing past the leaders the next minute. It’s super goofy out there. Long BIDU…why not?

    Le Fly,

Thought you would find this interesting given yesterday’s topic of the “chicken” nugget….

GSVC responding well, but what’s the analysis? It’s a 100 mil company which owns exactly what? Looks like their disclosures could be better. Anyone, anywhere track their purchases and use some private market tools to guess at a combined value?

GSVC has stated average price of facebook purchase to be $29.28, the latest trade according to Sharepost for Facebook was $34 (implied value of $80B).

This looks like the latest filing for GSVC – total investment in IPO prospects is about $64 million. Track record of Groupon isn’t persuasive. If the above Facebook “value” is correct the increase adds less than $2 mil. An assumption needs to be made as to how much cash they have now and the value of their holdings – suppose the preliminary offering document indicates they might do another round at a bit less than $14 – which is likely targeted to reflect an NAV in the same region. Ultimately, GSVC will pop once there’s some euphoria, and collapse if there isn’t any (not likely they’ll be supported by solid cash flows from their holdings).
