Since 2007 (inception), iBankCoin has undergone many transformations. We’ve had numerous site designs, bloggers and widgets come and go. The constants have been Fly, Ragin Cajun, Woodshedder and The Peanut Gallery. Inside “the PG”, readers contribute to iBankCoin and fight for the coveted King of the Peanut Gallery “castle”, awarded once per month to the best writer, by democratic vote.
Sadly, the time has come for me to nuclear bomb the shit out of the PG and usher in a new era.
Before you get your pitchforks, hear me out.
Within weeks, we are launching “The iBC Blogger Network” (fuck SeekingAlpha), with the explicit intent to crush the competition. Inside the blogger network, writers will get their own blog, free hosting, IT support and lots of exposure to iBankCoin’s 1.2 million+ readers per month. This new platform will be quite distinguished, with walls lined with the very best mahogany and corridors filled with high end cigar smoke. Feel free to come and sit down for a few minutes to enjoy some of iBC’s private stock of aged single malt scotch.
I invite all bloggers, or aspiring bloggers, to contribute to the iBC blogger network, only if you are interested in bringing your A game. Unlike the PG, where I let you fuckers talk shit, I will be firing people if they are subpar. In other words, bring your A game.
Having said that, this months King of the Peanut Gallery, and last King ever to rule this site, is Chivo. I’ve been noticing Chivo lately, as he is a persistent fucker, constant and on point with his message. Well done, Sir, and thank you for contributing to iBC.
In closing, I salute all past Kings who ruled over the ghettos of the PG and will remember you for at least another 15-20 minutes.

Introducing the new blogging system…?
I hope so, if only for my own trader diary, which I feel is the reason many traders blog themselves. Helps to revisit thoughts, emotions, and actions based on what you see in the market.
I don’t understand why everyone thinks they need to publish their trader diaries on the internet. If your excuse is it helps to revisit thoughts can’t you just use Word or something?
If no, there must be some underlying narcissistic traits lying underneath the surface.
getting feedback can be interesting and possibly good for learning – new ideas, constructive criticism, discussions etc.

Fair point on the feedback. I agree with you on that point. But there are some bloggers out there posting their crap and 99% of the comments are from themselves.

Nope, not going to Word Mode. Internet is a free space…I think a diary is a great learning device and great place tto keep notes. BTW so far the PMI’s suck the big ones tonight.

You don’t even read my site, tonight I have all the current PMI links and how they compare to flash data. Are you reading thru them tonight? Do you even know what they are? I don’t blog for others to read, I blog just for me..and sometimes I actually get company that stops by. Its my hang out..and I love it..and I hurt no one playing with it.
You can have all the PMI numbers you want. That’s great. But if it leads you to go long FAZ from April 2009 to present what good has it done? A 90% drawdown is nothing to be proud of.
I haven’t been holding FAZ since April 2009. Added that mid 2010 which is when the market should have rolled, but the Clam screwed it up.

When you say 1.2 million visits a month, how many unique visitors do you get? I notice your columns usually get around 2k views.

You get 500 to 600k visits, but sitemeter does not break out unique visitors.
I visit your site over 100 times per month (I have no life), and if your other visitors are like me that translates to about 5-6k unique visitors every month.
Is this not true?

It would take years and scads of money to build all of that yourself (as Fly has proven).
