Non-Event, So Far

I’ve been into a different lifestyle as of late. About 3 months ago, I got burnt out from high doses of caffeine, coupled with stress and sleep deprivation. The result was annoying arrhythmia (4 skipped beats per minute) and mental fog. Since then, I changed my habits by eliminating all intake of wine and coffee. In addition, I’ve been taking mega doses of vitamin C, as well as other vitamins, baby aspirin and adequate sleep. As always, I exercise at least 4 times per week, a mix of weights, cardio and p-90x. I feel great. I kid you not when I say “coffee is poison.” It’s a fucking stimulant and it fucks up cognitive thinking. I am much better without it.

Thus far, the market is in denial, “non-eventing” the bad headline news. Nevertheless, I am not participating in this tape. Truth be told, I am up today, thanks to GSVC, VCLK and a benign DECK and BPFH. Plus, my little TZA call position is up around 10-15%.

I’m adhering to a certain discipline by sidelining myself here. I do not expect all of you to understand. However, then again, you fuckers never understand.

I’m waiting for a few shoes to drop. Don’t mind me, as I leave chemtrails above your bullshit house, zipping along throughout the United Steaks in my space rocket.

          Fly,

How did you take the news that you’d have to do without coffee? I put myself in your shoes and I’m not sure how I’d get my head around no coffee. I’m good for 3-4 large (32oz) ice coffees/day and get about 5 hours of sleep with a reasonable amount of stress in my life. I actually get heart palpitations once in a while so I may be candidate for the Fly program but the thought of going cold turkey on coffee causes a lot of stress by itself. The thought of giving it up may be worse that actually doing it but in a life and death situation, it’s an easy call although maybe not so easy to execute.

Caffeine really fucks up your adrenal glands (been there, done that). The hard part is getting over the withdrawal symptoms but once that’s over you’ll realize that you can actually have energy without the drug.

I exercise 5 times a week and consumer liberal amounts of coffee and moderate amounts of wine. I’m in pretty good shape overall (excellent, compared to most americans), but have considered giving up the latter two for a while to see if there are any improvements. To be honest, I’m not sure I could function mentally without hefty cups of strong brewed coffee. Maybe I would be better, but I’ve used it for so long I can’t conceive of using my brain for anything but watching tv without it.

No Coffee, Green Tea and a pure joy for all of this silliness….. Had to Google PX90, had never heard of it before…not wild at all about that diet of high meat and pasta/rice. Give me a plate of all veggies and fruits with hard boiled egg whites, soy and greek yougurt..much better to the heart and body. …for today, notice how China was down 3%, my little house of cards is getting weaker and weaker, this Debt Ceiling stuff could be the wind to knock it all down,(yep, falling apart.. like the shotty high end apartments and high speed trains (ouch) that they built with all that money they didn’t skim and take to the Maccu casinos in 2009 and 2010).

This is too oddly coincidental. I just finished another outstanding Mark Helprin novel: Memoirs from an Ant Proof Case, where the hero is pathologically against coffee from a young age. There’s all kinds of stuff in there about coffee being poison, etc.

Turns out he’s kind of nuts, however. Great book.

worked with a guy who used to pound 12 cups a day .. part of the routine. Go from one meeting to the next coffee after coffee. He went cold turkey and had the sweats for awhile and ended up just drinking hot water at the meetings ?!?

Good for you, love the smell of the java, just never acquired a tate for it.

Did go cold turkey on the booze one day and didnt drink for a year to see if I could do it – did it and now only have a couple a drinks a month. Unlike “back int he day”.

Take in some Omega3s in your vitamin routine, not large predatory fish, small fish are better. Big fish retain the heavy metals (mercury etc) longer because they live longer. AHH the benefits of marrying a dietician.

If you take in too much Omega3 fish oil you may regurtitate later in the day, and you may lower your blood pressure.

And what Juicy Fruit said – not advice.

Protein keeps the blood sugar up longer, and keeps it steadier, than fruit or any kind of sugar. So when I crave sugar, I eat protein. I know this from experience. I have a bad case of hypoglycemia, so much that even sugar from fruit is something I must mostly avoid. Probably not necessary for most folks to go to this extreme in avoiding even fructose, but my own body works best this way.

I drink fluoridated treated water every day, which is associated with a 10 point or so drop in IQ according to one particular study, but it balances out my PH level as it is a base and things like alcohol, citric acid and coca cola are all acidic parts of my diet, so I rationalize it. But maybe that’s just the lower intelligence from the fluoride talking.

Fresh juice is the way to go . If you drink store bought you are drinking sugar . Juice carrots and beets in moderation there is sugar . Drink the juice within 20 sec of being made , the vitamins evaporate . Much better than man made pills . Lemon and water in the morning balances your Ph . Those simple rules will help your immune system and improve your energy .
