HO, HO, HO

Keep your eye on the metals. They are making a late year move. For the most part, they have no participated in the 2010 rally. It is widely believed U.S. gdp will grow at a 4% clip in 2011. Surely, we will not build with sugar and cotton. Position ahead of the herd.

Top picks: AKS, CENX

NOTE: ORCL smashed earnings.

NOTE II: TTWO blew away numbers. You’re welcome.

Do you mean it will grow 4% in 2011?

Also, why does the banner still say you predict low stock prices? You seem quite bullish.

This market is DONE – for the forseeable future, tomorrow being iffy.

Gold, Silver and the hot stocks have topped out. They hit people over the head with a HAMMER when they crashed Visa and Mastercard late in the day.

I should change my name to goshort.

Gold might be near the top, but it certainly has not peaked.

Silver will conservatively be $80 an ounce by 2012.

I like silver mining stocks, especially ones with exposure to Peru. (Fortuna Silver mines, FVI on the TSX, being one).

There are two separate bearish patterns in the daily chart of copper

    1. A fairly vivid megaphone top

    and

    2. a “bump and run” bearish reversal pattern–if we fail here, or anywhere beneath 4.30 $

That, and , is there really any more room to build chinese real estate? I mean, aside from their growing teahouse renovation industry.

It’s estimated that a quarter of the world’s population doesn’t even have electricity yet. Ironically, much of that population resides in Africa where they mine metals like copper used for electrical transmission and power generation.

Copper should stay above $4 in 2011, and could go much higher due to increasing demand coming out of a global recession. It’s in everything electronic and power generating.

The run in copper is forecasting that the global economy will continue pick up in 2011, maybe even surprising a lot of economists. I’m not only looking at ust the price chart, but also looking at what copper has been telling us about the macroeconomic picuture going forward.

This thing is playing out to the upside, as the other industrial metals like aluminum, steel, and to a degree, silver have been rallying.

My question is how does speculation by funds affect all this, versus actual commercial demand—-the latter having a bigger long term effect.

If you want to play the SSD, computer tablet, and smart phone industry, you must buy SNDK. I lol at the clown that was saying SSD being dead in the water due to its tie with AAPL. Dont try to go for cheap crap. You got to buy the industry leader and ride that wave.

The only explanation for these great RIMM ,sales is—AAPL is in the midst of having another mediocre earnings quarter. They are barely hanging on to their lead over android, worldwide. And no one has yet calculated the damage from these lousy best buy earnings. There was no excuse for losing that much ATT market share to a device as lame as the torch.

Why else do you think they’ve bumped up the ipad2 release?

Most real malls in the country don’t even have aapl stores. You only find aapl stores in snooty upscale malls. Its appropriate that most of them occupy former “sharper image” storefronts. There was another store with great “foot traffic”, but disappointing sales.

    • 0
    • 0
    • 0 Deem this to be "Fake News"
    • Dr Genius

Quick question: Do you know what you are talking about?

I dont think so. RIMM sales are great because they are slashing the prices of their products close to cost of production to regain market shares. It is the oldest trick in the book for businesses on the brink of death. If you are long RIMM, you should take this opportunity to raise cash and get the hell out of there.

Also, the middle class in America is dead. But, upper class consumers are well alive and kicking. AAPL is doing hte right thing by targeting the upper class. There is a reason why luxury good companies like TIF are blowing ERs out of the water quarter after quarter, and it isnt because of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”.

Finally, you need to get out more. That means away from the US. For us gentlemen who have the deep pockets to scout the world 24/7, we know that iPads and iPhones are selling off like crazy abroad. Now, you just need to imagine those gadnets being available in China and India officially. Cha-ching!!!

Shopped heavily for a new phone and decided on the Galaxy S after getting pissed off at my iPhone. Now I don’t need a special cable or iTunes in order to sync, plus it has a flash player and removable storage, imagine that…HD video recording and playback is stunning with the AMOLED display. And try to see the iPhone display outside, doesn’t work. For these reasons Android will crush market share moving forward.

    > The BIS is managed by the Financial Stability Forum (G7 country finance ministers + NASDAQ + NYSE + World Bank)
    > The BIS is owned by all 168 central banks worldwide (all central banks are privately owned corporations; there are 195 countries)
    > If a country’s government does not go along with BIS policy, the BIS coordinates the selling of that country’s currency to threaten its economy

It’s not just 500. If you look around, you will note how many people are willfully on their payroll, who make a living working for these individuals — and who will therefore protect them at all costs.

Many of these individuals are also hardboiled socialists, some of them communists. They despise capitalism and they see this as their chance to shine.

They will do what their TV tells them to do — which is to kill the ones who threaten them.

End the Fed? How are you going to do that when just about every country in the world has their own version of the Fed? You really think the central bankers will ever just walk away from the US? I seriously doubt that.

Besides, the central bankers are our real government. Ending the Fed is like asking the government to step down. Never gonna happen.

Also (in response to another poster), how can I be liberal or conservative or anything else when what I am stating is 100% factual. Facts don’t give a shit about opinion or political leanings. Facts is facts.

I think it is very unlikely for your reasons and more. But to be realistic, the United States is the only country that could try it without as much worry of war/isolation. Others may side with them in ousting the owners of the Fed from their money systems. But only the US has the military clout to consider such a move.
