Jeez Obama has no balls. Sometimes I want to be republican because you guys will just lie and manipulate your way to getting to the goal. It works. Democrats are such pussies and will deny they had anything to do with giving millions of people healthcare. For once I wish he would stand up for Americans. The 50% of us Americans who dont vote republican.

Seriously, guys, why don’t you like Medicare? It’s free of charge for the poor, and rich can still spend their money shall they demand a better service. What’s wrong with that? BTW additional spending coming (courtesy to the government) from the poor (who’d otherwise not be able to spend, would die, and thus would reduce the labor force, and by doing that would reduce output) is what this country needs.

PS. don’t tell me you need taxes for that. That’s BS. Government can spend as much as it wants provided there’s enough goods and services on the market. Obviously with GDP gap it’s not a problem, is it?

Medicare is for old people, who do not work.

Medicaid (which is what I think you meant, though you are confused) is for poor people, who do not work.

Anytime you’d like another argument eviscerated, please stop by.

Jake what do you know about valid points?

You want to fix our debt issue but cut the taxes for the rich which would cost the country $700 Billion dollars.

You care so fucking much about rejecting good people healthcare but going to war for 1 trillion dollars isnt a big deal. Deficits dont matter right Jake? I bet it didnt when Cheney said it.

Once your guy isnt in office THEN it matters. Keep drinking the kool-aid.

I personally have no problem with helping those out who truly need a helping hand. I would lay money on the fact that Mr Gint has no problem with it either.
Two things that I do have a problem with are
            1. helping out people who are capable of working and therefore helping themselves. Freeloaders in other words………
            2. The government ramming something down our throats that we don’t want and may be unconstitutional to boot.
I have issues ………REAL ANGRY ISSUES…….. with those things.

To be honest, I was only half-kidding. Trying to sort it out. Here’s the best place. Many smart people (not kidding). The argument’s logic is till there, even if it is “eviscerated” (thanks to JG for free education) by referring to Medicare instead of Medicaid. It generates additional spending which otherwise wouldn’t be there (from people who do not work and have no income to spend). This spending will then lead to higher incomes, and so on and so on via spending multiplicators. Again, the healthcare industry has the capacity to provide these services as there’s still demand gap due to >9% unemployment. If there’s a customer who pays they’d be happy to serve and expand.

Disclaimer: only talking about short- to mid-term implications. Not about the long-run. In the long-run we’re all dead, hence medicare/medicaid is N/A.

I don’t understand your bullishness. Is it purely seasonal??? Because the S&P is already up nearly 8% this year…its not like we’re buying the lows here.
