The Hindenburg Omen is Child’s Play

Lots of news of “imminent crash” going around the net these days, due to some bullshit indicator that was concocted in 1995. That’s right gentlemen, this is not some ancient indicator, dating back to the 1937 airship disaster. The asshole who developed it, Meikka, did so in 1995.

This is all you need to know, before shooting yourself in the face with a howitzer:

The Omen was behind every market crash since 1987, but also has occurred many other times without an ensuing significant downturn. Market analysts said only about 25% of Omen appearances have led to stock-market declines that can be considered crashes.

Umm, okay. How many crashes did it predict then? I suppose it predicted 1997,1998,2000 and 2008? Big fucking deal; I predicted those declines too.

Hence, starting today, I am unveiling THE PROPHECIES OF THE FLY, MASTER INDICATOR.

As you all know, I too am predicting a rather sharp decline in September. So, when it happens, give credit where credit is due, not to some bat-shit dude from Florida, who names shit after horrific tragedies.

The 12631 code is just as deadly accurate…just depends on how you apply it
Just keep referencing to it… eventually the Mystery alone will draw CNBC in as they apply it to grocery shopping and tax deductions and the general circumference of Honey Dew Melons

I’m holding out for that price on Euro…laff now….that shits for real

There is also the three part:

‘aint no way Israel will allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon
‘aint no way Iran is going to stop pursuing a nuclear weapon
‘aint no way Russia is going to say no to Iranian money for uranium-packed fuel rods

    indicator.

You called the September decline before the omen did. This is a fact.

Whether the decline will become a fact is yet to be seen.

I am planning on positioning for a 5%-10% selloff.

My only problem is everyone now seems to be expecting this. They really do. I’ve almost never seen anything happen when everyone is expecting it.

Not sure what to make of it. Maybe the decline comes earlier than expected….maybe this week.

I know the PPT is reading oversold heavily, but i guarantee that if the PPT had been around in september/october of 2008, one would have lost their ass trying to trade those signals.

Just saying, when the decline does come, I would imagine the PPT hybrid score might suggest for one to position one’s self improperly.

    my opinion

even though there is millions of galaxies and millions of planets, the chance of the conditions needed to create life out there being met, is slim

if there was life other than ourselves, most people falsely assume they would be on the same time line as us

(ie. dinosaurs roamed the earth for 160 million years, humans for only 20 thousand out of the 14 billion year old universe)

    we are just a blip.

it would be more believable that the PP was created by humans traveling back in time but also doubtful

    THINK ABOUT IT

A “crash”? Sorry, but i don’t think so.

It seems like it would be coming too soon. Not enough of the investing public has been sucked back into the market yet. Too much cash, too much liquidity still out there. Mr. Market works his “crash magic” on the principle of “shock and awe”, as he seeks to exact the most pain on the most number of people at the most opportune time. Too many are scared and alert to a crash scenario, at the present.

Right now, it seems like it’s just the institutions pushing money around, back and forth, while the Fly &
Co. extract the customary pound of flesh from margin accounts.

Now if Israel were to attack Iran…….

Im inclined to agree with alphadawg. We really need to get that “sideline money” trapped on the long side, to get a hard crash. Maybe we can get a republican euphoria rally in October, to fade.

I was extremely bearish into last Tuesday’s FOMC. I was hoping for a QE 2.0 rally. But, we never really got a rally, and we never really got QE 2. I keep patiently waiting for that “blow off top” event. But, it may never arrive.

Didn’t think so. You can’t explain your sickness, but I can define it.

From Wikipedia: “A troll is someone who posts inflammatory ….messages in an online community with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response.” Jake, you are the prototype of a troll.

Fine by me if Fly wants you dragging down an otherwise great site. But you’ve gone too far with your talk of desecrating a Jewish cemetery.

Fly is building a premier financial site with many intelligent and informed bloggers. IMO, he would do well to get rid of you, or at least restrain your hate speech. Buy MON, buy gold, blah, blah, blah, yawn. If people here recognize that there is a bull market in gold, then I can tell them of a gold fund that consistently blows away your pathetic performance and spare them the hate.

You came on here the other day, shooting off your mouth about “the Lobby” (meaning the Joooos) controlling US policy. Are you going to deny that too?

It doesn’t take long for a lefty to tip his anti-Semitic hand, these days, and for you it was just a matter of time.

Of course, one form of hate often transfers unto another, and we know what you’ve been about since you’ve set foot on this site. One thing’s for sure, you’ve never offered one usable idea. You are a troll, plain and simple.

So please, make up all the new monikers you like to defend yourself — you cannot hide what you are, hater.

Why Sep? It’s the confluence –

calculatedrisk blog mentions next week housing numbers are “known bad” due to July regional data, Cisco notes July tech bad. GDP revisions on import data, re-ramp of Eurofear, check any number of economists dismissing notion that 2Q corp profits will lead to 3Q hiring, we now know we had a 1-2Q inventory runup that failed to have retail follow-up, I mean, really, everything says economic numbers are crumbling at the same time sentiment is turning at the same time we realize 3Q earns are gonna fade. September sounds about right to me.

‘Course, for Fly it’s Sep just cuz he says so….

    On a more humorous note:

Obama Says Private Accounts Would Endanger U.S. Social Security Benefits (Bloomberg)

“President Barack Obama said Republican proposals to have people invest Social Security benefits in private accounts would increase the U.S. budget deficit and put retirement money at risk to “the whims of Wall Street traders.”

In his weekly address on the radio and Internet, Obama marked the 75th anniversary of President Franklin Roosevelt’s signing of the Social Security Act, and said he would fight if Republicans try to convert the entitlement program to private investment accounts.

“I’d have thought, after being reminded how quickly the stock market can tumble, after seeing the wealth people worked a lifetime to earn wiped out in a matter of days, that no one would want to place bets with Social Security on Wall Street — that everyone would understand why we need to be prudent about investing the retirement money of tens of millions of Americans,” he said. ”

Yeah, everyone would much rather put their hard earned money in the hands of the prudent and bankrupt U.S. government, rather than invest it themselves.

And yes, Mr. President, t would increase the deficit, because YOU NEED THAT MONEY TO KEEP COMING IN TO THE TREASURY SO YOU CAN SPEND IT.

About the only thing private accounts would endanger is the PONZI SCHEME that is called “Social Security”. Besides, there is no “Social Security”, as it pertains to some so-called “trust fund”.

The government doesn’t “invest” the people’s social security money in a trust, it SPENDS it, you idiot!

I apologize for the distraction. But there are some things that Jake says that just cannot be left unanswered. I hope that Fly restrains him as I have no desire to have to answer his “when did you stop beating your wife” type of provocations. It is a waste of all of our time.

Until then, I have no choice but to jab back at a humorless prig.

I’ve labeled it “Jake-bait” and often find it difficult not to fall for. You always have an intelligent response to Jake’s rants, but inevitably you and Jake get into some bullshit high school cafeteria-style feud that serves no purpose.

I’m only critiquing this because I feel that both of you have insightful opinions on the market and I wish that the two of you would focus on that instead of the political farce that is the US.

Listen Jake. You’re at your best when you post re-runs about precious metals and SLW. When you get off that track you debase yourself with your immature and close-minded thoughts. If I gave a shit what you thought, I would post on your blog. Given the fact that I don’t, I find great offense with your stupidity and politically racist posts. I’m trying to interact with people who may or may not have similar market interests with me; not to occupy my time with your pathetic and predictable white bread observations of the world.

Can you be any more transparent with your tenuous grasp on diction and your hoary claims of racism? Seriously, get a new schtick, young airhead, or join your forebears in the trash bin of history.

He’s obviously referring to you you simp. Also, I doubt that he’s impressed with your patronizing “Good to hear your Jewish. Mazel tov.” …not everyone is a one-dimensional as you.

Jake, most Jews are aware of the power of the Likud-controlled Israeli lobby, so you aren’t likely to be snowing JF2.

Also, not all Jews believe the same shit – you stupid fuck. There are plenty of Jews who vocally oppose the AIPACers (J Street) …Jews who see the importance of how Israel’s behavior is perceived OUTSIDE OF THE US.

Also, when you toss around the term anti-Semite, you further display your ignorance. The brown people you love to cluster bomb in the mid-east are Semitic peoples as well.

Dumb fuck. …God I wish Fly had chosen to stifle you.

You have just been trolled by Jake. He completely ignored your request to stfu and calls me an anti-Semite and you a backer of anti-Semitism and all you say is that you’re “backing nothing” – – thereby letting his premise stand? Unacceptable.

There is a difference between his usual blather where he calls all critics commies, a (fill-in-the-blank)tards, a douches, and his more recent hysterics.

Shut him the fuck up or I will answer the asshole and this forum will be dragged further down Jake’s hole …or ban me and he will have accomplished his goal of stifling anyone not intimidated by a tenacious propagandist.

Your conversation with yourself is quite amusing, Troll-tard.

If you don’t want to get the more than equal measure of your personal nastiness, then try being a nicer person. Or don’t, as I couldn’t give a crafty care.

You have chosen to make yourself my personal thorn, so expect to reap the whirlwind for it.

It’s not surprising, given your other lefty political statements, that you think it’s acceptable to re-blather the anti-semitic claptrap like you were on the pages of Democrat Underground, but know this.

I will call you out every time for it, you leering, non-contributing, pathetic troll.

All this talk about a crash being unlikely prompts me to ask this question:
If, as assumed, we drop 10 to 15% from these levels in the fall, we will be at in the low 900s on the SPX. That may spook many. If that further selloff breaks below out 870, (July 2009 low) the stampede looks like it runs to the November 08 lows or lower. Thoughts?

Keep in mind in the volume; Alphadawgg and Panama are correct in that there are not as many players in the market right now to create a ‘crash’ – in other words, it is unlikely that that the market drops below 900 unless an actual event happens along the way.
