Sold one of my homes recently. Buyer borrowed 98.5% of sale price. Just the wife. Not sure if the husband had bad credit, illegal alien, or unreported cash income. Most likely all three. Only thing going for them was they have a 30 year fixed as opposed to a balloon mortgage, but still not an encouraging sign for the market. Not many buyers out there and many are asking owners to give 8k cash on closing since that’s what they expect and if the goverment wont do it, the seller should…So if you’re in that high tax bracket, you pay probably 20k so the goverment can skim and pass 8k on to those who can’t afford to buy in the first place, and you make too much to qualify for the same cash.
I’m following Fly’s lead and waiting for a bounce, but long term, more shit’s coming.

with JPM paying out a dividend of $0.05 on july 1st that to me marked the beginning of the new beginning for the banks…the other banks will follow …all the banks will show profit this earnings season.. how could they not? of course there are a few small banks who are irrelevant and will be assimilated and understandably so..
