I read an article today stating that BP had told the gubmint they could handle a spill of 17 million gallons or so with equipment at hand. The KEY word there is spill, correctly defined as an event where crude escapes from a confined storage area ON LAND OR ON THE SURFACE OF THE WATER.
Obviously the central failure of both BP and the fed dorks doing oversight is that they apparently never contemplated a gusher 5000 feet BELOW the surface. Adds a completely new twist to the whole thing doesn’t it? So I say to them…………….WELL DUH!!!!??

The flip side is that the lack of brain power and utter lack of anything resembling morality in our government makes it relatively easy for these giants to lead the pols around by the nose. I typically snorkel and dive on the coral reefs off the keys and south of miami at least monthly during the spring, summer, and fall. Seeing the nurse sharks, barracuda, lobster, octopus, turtles, jellyfish, and arrays of colorful fish darting in and around the coral is a good source of inspiration for me. It always bothered me when I saw how the reef was unable to fight off some of the challenges it already faced.
I’ve been against drilling anywhere near south florida for economic reasons. There are other places to drill. If this oil destroys our coral reefs, forgiveness will be impossible.
So much for the no politics policy. Mr. Gint is back slinging his feces on the walls again.
Hell yeah, and fuck facists government that protects big oil seizing all patents on free energy. Without the corrupt oligarchy we’d all have free energy, and we wouldn’t waste our resources on the bullshit oil rigs, the bullshit wells, the bullshit drills, and millions of workers around the world siphoning the world dry all for some control. If it were about wealth they would make free energy on their own rather than deprive the world of energy and keep them working till death at an early age.
Think of the technology that would be available if people didn’t have to waste oil. Everything in the world would be 90% cheaper, and 1000% more efficient, everyone starving wouldn’t have to waste time thinking about how to eat their next meal and would instead actually be able to contribute. All those millions of people that are no longer working for oil directly or indirectly might actually be able to contribute to some important things like making sure we can convert ocean water to fresh water, desert land to tropical, death to life, and we could work on time travel and space travel and move throughout the world. If they had any brains, they’d want to conquer the fucking galaxy, rather than the world…
In conclusion, like you said, they are assholes worth hating, and if Jack Bauer were real, he would take out his man bag, beat them to death with it, then bring them back to life just so he could make them starve to death and kill them again via ripping their hearts out and making them eat it.
