China Opens With a Kick to the Dog

China has opened down another 1%, following yesterday’s 5%. This is worth noting.

Chinese leadership stocks, like Ctrip.com International, Ltd. (ADR) [[CTRP]] , PetroChina Company Limited (ADR) [[PTR]] and Baidu.com, Inc. (ADR) [[BIDU]] will continue to come under pressure, as long as the the homeland A shares continue to get beaten. I am convinced, through years of experience trading these markets and watching patterns, that the U.S. markets are the most manipulated in all of the world, with Thailand a close second. China was first to bounce off the bottom and they shall be the first to top out.

Needless to say, I expect all of you to stay up through the night, monitoring these events closely for me, while I sit down and sip on a nicely fresh brewed cup of Earl Gray tea.

NOTE: [[FXP]] might be worth a whirl down here.

GDP per capita in China is ranked 97 in the world according to the IMF 2009 at $6,546. The US on the other hand is 6th at $46,443.

You know crocodiles have no qualms about eating another croc family’s eggs or youngens? If the US is the gorilla made in the shade doing cool shit like playing catch with opposable thumbs, I bet the Chinaman is the crocodile.

Fetus soup? How many Chinese people ever seen one? 1 in a billion maybe? As a result, you become a Chinese hater? I grew up there, never heard about it till in recent year from North America.
        You are fooled!

No race/country/body is perfect. Why do not we stop looking at people from only the ugly side?

You are ready to nuke a country and its people for its bad manners (in western eyes) which resulted from long-lasting poverty ? That just says a lot about what kind of person you are.

      Go to hell!

Oh, Shall I add? You motherfuckers.

Westerners are incredibly unfair to Chinese people and China as a country with no good reason.
What did they do to deserve that? (The long-lasting poverty and sufferring resulted from the Moron Mao and Communism? )

Westerners hated them because their lives are getting better and their country is getting stronger?

          Sad.

In my opinion, the next move higher in equities will come from a revaluation of the Yuan. This should help multinationals and US exporters boost their earnings. Until then, there’s no reason to go balls to the cutting board long. But unless you have impeccable timing and/or a time machine, there’s no reason to fuck around with leveraged bear ETF’s.

China is a country with massive, empty fields of real estate. Wouldn’t a higher yuan pop that bubble?

A stronger Yuan will make them less competitive in the global market. Chinese exports should fall, imports will rise and the US should benefit. I don’t think there will be a real estate crash in China, prices will probably decline but I don’t think it will be an Oct. 2008 rip your face off decline. If you have good timing and want to actively manage positions go with FXP, if you want something you can sit on for awhile go long American exporters and nat gas names (electricity usage and hurricane season play) and short the FXI in equal size.

China has already started running a negative trade deficit, before they relaxed the yuan peg. I’m trying to do research on this China real estate appreciation, but the problem is the data is so disorganized, fucking surprise. They are in trouble IF loans were made with interest only payments/adjustable rate/etc and/or if savings and home price appreciation is greatly exceeded by the rate of inflation. In the US, from 1975 through 2000 inflation adjusted home price appreciation was only like 1.4% but from 2000-2005 it was 7%, way above its linear regressed mean. If wage appreciation and savings to personal consumption expenditure are significantly below home price appreciation, it would raise flags. I’d also like to try to find what kind of loans the banks were offering. I am also aware that Chinese insurance companies and others were allowed to make alot of investments in fixed assets and securities with their massive floats, which was a major contributor to the price rise.

One other note about a relaxed peg on the yuan. Be prepared for inflation to be repatriated back to the US as bullshit items at Walmart will slowly appreciate in price.
