I initiated my first short position, in a long, long time, via going long [[SRS]] —based upon the algorithms of The PPT. At the present, SRS has a technical score of 1.05 (1 is the lowest score possible). There have been just two occasions in PPT history when the score was below 1.10, today and 5/11/09. Back in May of last year, the stock bounced quickly off the lows and netted about 14% in two trading days. Will history repeat itself?

Looks like a smart play. A lot of stocks have reached their 2008 peaks. I don’t think we stop here for good though. We will have a rocky few days next week, but I expect my ES, NG, and USU will continue to soar after a brief break.

You probably already know this but SRS is doing a reverse split of 1:5 on April 14. Just mentioning this so no one has a heart attack when they wake up next Thursday and SRS has a nav of 27.50 instead of 5.50.

I took a mild beating today but I like my odds going short into next week. Seriously, if there is even one or two bad reports, the market is going to sell off proper.
