It’s too early in the recovery cycle to pull back on government stimulus. The only reason why the republicans are bitching and moaning about spending is because the democrats are in power. When Bush was chilling in the White House, those elephant fuckers were sucking the treasury dry.
Much to my chagrin, I’m afraid Prezident O’bama will campaign during tonight’s State of the Union speech. That man hardly governs. All he does is campaign, mainly because he is a weak leader and doesn’t know how to do anything. Fucking shocker. With populist mumbo-jumbo on the front burner, Wall Street will drop napalm on the 401k’s of the average, blue collar dipshit collecting trash for a living, by way of tanking this market until the O’bama administration says “mercy.”

At any rate, regardless of politics, this market is nearing extreme oversold levels and will bounce soon. Write the down and trade accordingly.

Nah, the last couple of days worked a lot of that off… How about we take a relatively quick (within three to four months) trip down to the upper 900s on the S&P (15x Q4 ’09 run-rate earnings, because 2010 won’t be any better than run-rate Q4 was), then go back to the ’70s with a long, slow, multi-year grind down in the face of continually disappointing earnings and the paydown of the debt overhang, until finally, no one gives a flying fuck about stocks, and then they can start to go up again, say, around 2014 or so?
I just want you to know, Fly, that when that happens I will still be here to read your hilarious blog posts (and you certainly will have plenty of time to write them).
