Despite the indices fagging out at these levels, my positions march higher. From Sears Holdings Corporation [[SHLD]] to Flowserve Corporation [[FLS]] to Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. [[GMCR]] to Ctrip.com International, Ltd. (ADR) [[CTRP]] , they march higher.

How about some Veeco Suave (veco)? Stock trades light, up a point and half on a new hire to a new 52 week high. CREE’s Ceo said in IBD the trend for LED tvs is here to stay which should be good for veco. I think the tape is a non-event this year and the real action is in the individual names like veco and I like podd as a spec play since people love their device.

I went to our local dump of a K-Mart last night to pick up a folder when I heard that there would be a jewelry raffle over in the “furniture” (and I use the term loosely) department.
I headed over there and some huckster was trying to pawn off some “K-Mart quality and value” jewelry prior to giving away a necklace in a drawing. It was me and about ten old ladies, half of whom were missing a bunch of teeth.
Needless to say I won the raffle and told the guy I didn’t want to buy anything “so just give me my winnings.” Thought about telling my wife it cam from Tiffany’s.
I just wish they would bring back the meatloaf blue plate specials.

Think it’s time for raising cash here, not putting it to work. Agree with the sentiment posted by someone else that it will be a stock picker’s market in 2010. The time for going long aot (any old thing) and making money is a March to December 2009 thing.
