The Revenge of The Turkey Gods

The Dow was destined to trade above 10,500, until the fucking frauds from Dubai got all bitchy about their debts last week. With that behind us, prepare for new highs, led by the banks and materials.

Separately, GES had a monster quarter. I like that stock up to $50. And, let’s not forget the resurgence in retail sales. There are numerous ways to play it. My favorites are JAH, SHLD, WHR and maybe a little MSO.

Within commodities, I like SD, especially after today’s decline, MTL, PKX and MOS.

In my next post, I will update you fuckers on all of my current positions and immediate buy list candidates.

Thinking of buying a Scooter Store franchise.
    A growth business for sure.
I was dragged to a mall the other day (first time in about 5 years) and I saw all of these fat people (not even old) driving around in the power scooters. Thought I was at Disney World.

the USA is reverting back to English ways…via the year 1560.
where unlike my models that weigh 115, theirs weighed 215 and were thought to be “lovely”….
I’ll have to put down my paint brushes and hammers if this keeps up……

The whole Dubai thing/quick market recovery shook out weak Longs and Shorts. Ultimately it’s good for the trend that prevails till year end.

And we all know what that trend is right?

Not sure if you had this discussion already, but, what do you think about the Starbucks instant coffee packets. Do you see this as any competition against the K cup?

It’s actually not that funny really. It’s done in that passive aggressive snarly gay tone of his. He’s kinda looking down at people here ignoring the fact that he’s lost all his capital since the March rally.

He refers to those idiots there as the Slope community…. How gay.

Whaddaya want, he’s a brainwashed left coaster. There are no wives or girlfriends or boyfriends… there are “partners,” and there’s no towns, clubs, ethnicities or organizations, everything’s a “community.”

I actually thought the effort was relatively clever. The irony, of course, was in the “lemmings” comment.

How much collective group-think cash has gone over the cliff in that “community” this year?

I think TIM really jumped the shark with that one

He really thinks the Fly or anyone bullish is the enemy. I especially love the pic of the Fly and his minions, too funny.

When is TIM going to understand it’s not good vs evil(his term, not mine) but profitable vs unprofitable?
      I’m guessing never…

I’m pretty certain TIM reads this blog; he banned me a while ago and I hadn’t posted anything negative to his in weeks.

In case any of you guys missed ti. The biggest story of the day is the bank of Japan’s potentially more aggressive posture to reflate through QE. This is pretty significant on the monetary side of things and it’s another loosening. About fucking time too i might add.

Hasn’t Japan been loosening for over two decades, now?

It’s interesting but they haven’t. Loosening isn’t really just reflective of the interest level it also is related to the interplay between deflation/inflation and the rate level. QE is the most aggressive form of easing.

How much more “loosening” can there be worldwide, J? You’re the monetary guru, so I’m asking you. Won’t there be problems down the road because of it? If not, why didn’t Japan do this earlier?

money supply growth is huge around the around. Funnily enough the tightest of the biggies was Japan and now it looks like hey also going to open the spigot a lot more.

They didn’t do it before because they are Japanese. Seriously.

Of course there will be problems down the road.

That’s the way it seems to me. I’m just trying to find any support for a longer term bullish case, and I don’t see it. I want to see both sides (long term bull and bear), but I don’t right now. I can see what props the market up in the near term, but it seems that somewhere down the road the markets/economy is in big trouble.

    Financials sniffing out higher rates?
    Pressure to save the dollar?
Not good for the unemployed or Main Street.
