Yet again, the market is melting up—no surprise there. What is surprising is the price action in Flotek Industries, Inc. [[FTK]] . I mean, what in God’s good name are the short sellers thinking? With more than 20% of the shares sold short, and commodities running, Flotek Industries, Inc. [[FTK]] is poised, mind you, to break the fuck out, “murking” scores of bears along the way.
As an aside, AT&T Inc. [[T]] is kicking ass on the smartphone front, now signing up Dell Inc. [[DELL]] . Verizon Communications Inc. [[VZ]] is an ass.
To play this, you want to own the names who benefit from the At&t build out, such as Ceragon Networks Ltd. [[CRNT]] , Starent Networks Corp. [[STAR]] , Alcatel-Lucent (ADR) [[ALU]] , TEKELEC [[TKLC]], ADTRAN, Inc. [[ADTN]] and [[ERIC]] .
Separately, General Cable Corporation [[BGC]] is doing all sorts of good shit and will likely blow the barnyard doors off estimates.

Fly, Thank you for Wednesday’s post “Commodity Losers of 2009”. Having large amounts of FTK, I went through it to pick a favorite and came up with CENX which I bought mid-day. Now, they’re beating AA. Does more of this go on in the PPT postings?

Does PPT have live charts?
PPT tough to understand, requires upfront payment, no preview, and little to understand what is offered to try and decide value. I’d suggest either developing a better teaser so I and others can understand the PPT better, or if my blind arse can’t see it, making the link easier to find. It sure is easy to pay. I’ve paid many but had an idea what I was getting into first.

I see you have declared VZ an ass. However, it is an ass that rakes in cash each month and pays a reliable strong dividend. How low does it need to go before it is a must buy? I liked it at 30, but didn’t pull the trigger because I I’ve foolishly been sitting on cash waiting for a correction. If it gets much below 29 it will be hard to resist getting some and holding long term. Any thoughts besides it being an ass?

Fly, every once in a while, you should put up a screen capture or two of the PPT (from a few days/weeks) earlier so people get an idea of what it looks like, what’s being said in there etc..
