Why do you say 90% of the banking problem is over? The kid’s plan could actually fuck the banks over.. having to sell shit at lower prices. Furthermore there is the added problem that according to CS 20% of US bank balance sheets are marked to market while the rest is marked to model or hold to maturity. However if a ready market appears it will force the unmarked shit to recognize marks. This is not necessarily a great plan as it depends where the stuff get priced.
C is nowhere near being solvent. Even with Geithner’s plan they won’t find an investor willing to bid prices required to sell without wiping out their equity. They’re going to need more direct capital infusions before it’s all said and done.
However none of that seems to matter at the moment. So party on Garth.

Say he’s lying but they come in with $20 billion without reserving. What multiple would you put on that? Perhaps 10. If you use 10 that gives you a stock price north of 30 bucks.

Donny – I think you gave up too soon. I’m still holding all of my BAC preferreds, along with some other bow wow preferreds. The worst that can happen? I get converted to common and cash out (I’ve already passed ‘GO’ a couple of times). Best case: collect dividends while marching onward to par (anywhere from 2X to 5X my cost basis).
SRS acting well given todays mkt advance thus far…tempting this dumbass to get some, much like an icy cold beer on a hot summer day…83 today in Tampa area..so thats close enough for me…long SRS 53.14
