That’s right, “The Fly” is talking shit from the luxury of the sidelines. I know it’s annoying to hear of such faggotry, cashed up while the market is doing funny things. Just know, I will be out there soon, taking wild, drunken, swings at stocks, in an effort to tack on another 10-15% to my year to date gains.
I am looking to sell short into strength and dance on the graves of those who bet against me.
For the day, I made 0.0% and my demeanor was calm, Caribbean breeze-like, unlike you frazzled, sleep deprived caffeine junkies.

What happens if that strength takes the market over the 50dma on spx and closes above?
Will you still short?
Technically, your cash is down about 4% in the last four days because Ben Bernanke has decided to take a wrecking ball to the last leg holding up this economy.
But who cares about technicalities?
Wrong. I do not use my cash for european vacations, retard.
Your the the man today!!! Who knows about future!!!!
Ha! My US IB trading account is based in UK sterling, my cash did gain 2% over the last couple of days. Unfortunately for me, I lost that money already by fucking about with FAZ.
Wrong. I do not use my cash for european vacations, retard.
But here, in the States, do you use your cash in exchange for hard commodities, like petrol and natural gas?
And … coppeur?
And shiny, shiny silver bricks?
_________
Richy,
You need to convert that sterling into spoons.
_________
You probably didn’t notice that the price of everything except stocks and US dollars is up 5%+ in the last two days….Good thing because you won’t need to buy inflated toilet paper in 5 years since you’ll be able to wipe your ass with your dollars.
I don’t believe for a second you are calm like a Caribbean breeze, btw.
More like a desert sirocco, my bet.
Opportunity has cost, as well, no?
_______
Speaking of copper, I’m about tired of hearing how the economy is turning because copper is turning up (actually, that’s the other way around). Get real, we all know prices of any asset class can move without any correlation to the basic economic assumptions. Sort of like Mets tix prices relating to their infamous late season rollovers.
PS. Fly, when do we get more blue radio stories?
Fly Thanx for the The Best Thing that Ever Happened to You. That’s what I need, an enemy to steel my focus.
If I continued my story, you would hear THE WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME, when the dot com bubble popped.
one day.
Fly, how much did you lose in the bubble burst? Probably a great learning lesson….
I have an army of over 2,000 daytraders working for me and they cannot beat “The Fly”‘s egregious monetary gains.
The story, so far, is very cool.
Fly, I love the FLY bio posts. Please continue them, especially the dot.com implosion time. You have a great rags to riches to rags to riches story. Please share it.
Fly is like a modern day Jesse Livermore, without the unseriousness of abdicating his family life for fishing trips off the coast of Miama (sic) and shit.
Therefore, I predict with reasonable assuredness, that his career will not end in “sewer pipes” as my Dad used to call self-cancellation.
_____________
You wrote that you are bullish until mai/june. Are u now bearish? for the next time?
Circa April 2000, Fly’s skin all ashen and white as he looks into the abyss and sees thousands of dogged faced puppet socks…thats where a man finds his character.
oh wow, I didn’t realize the 90% tax on bonuses applied to all Tarp Carp. I’m thinking just about everyone at those companies are going to be quitting soon or lowering their performance level significantly. It appears that the original agreement for accepting the Tarp money was that Execs could keep their bonuses, so they accepted the money. Now the gubmit pulls a bait and switch. LOL. The total lack of credibility between thieves continues to reflect their true nature.
“If I had to choose between the socialist tax on my bonus and the safety of my loved ones, I’d probaby have to flip a coin.” Robert Schimek, AIG CFO
Our country is run by a bunch of hypocritical crooks!! There performance, measured by the American people’s approval rating, is abysmal yet it’s ok for them to still get pay raises!
“Regardless of the low confidence ratings, members of Congress got their second substantial raise—$4,000 a year—in only six months at the start of 2008 making this increase the third in less than two years. “
At this point the only solution that can possibly save us is an outright pitchfork rebellion! WAKE UP AMERICA! Ron Paul for President!
Anyone who wants to trade around with silver and likes double, see AGQ or ZSL
All day long I spat into the downstream wind and banked 3% as my dxo and short hme applied pressure. I also made a god like sell of adbe at 22.50 and some dxo at 3. Truly absured. Off to eat some thai.

Remember Master Fly, when you make that move, you’re taking me with you 😀
Anyone look at the daily (15 min) chart on TLT today?
Looks like that downsloping banana pattern Ottnot was talking about recently. The one that needs the Viagra?
TBT for your grandchildren, my fellows.

Isn’t retro active law unconstitutional..and remember the President has little power it those ancient corrupt fuckers in Congress that do, and will do anything, even wreck this country, to stay in power.. I believe a coup is in order..a benevolent honest dictator to throw all of the old guard in the Tower and hold elections that prohibit community organizers, politicians and LAWYERS from ever running for office, and term limits as in 2 terms.
we just went from short term overbought to short term oversold.
we prolly bust another move up tomm….this market is keepin it ghetto…all soft ass ngas need to stay in cash with the bitches

Good for Congress! They are slowly accepting my proposal to tax all AGI above $250K at 110%.
TAX THE LIVIN’ SHIT OUT OF THE GREEDY PIGS!
I wish I worked for the fly. JUST FOR THE EXPERIENCE.
hey FLY ,STFU and post some fundamentals will ya ?
Here is a WSJ article discussing the Constitutionality of the AIG taxation. I would have thought Article 1 Section 9 of the Constitution (bills of Attainder and ex post facto laws) would apply but Professor Larry Tribe seems to think not.
Since he wrote the Book (at least my law school book on Con. Law) I will trust him.

It would be fun to see them keep their bonuses and turn in their resignations. The we could see how Barney (slobbering) Frank and Charlie (tax cheat) Rangel could do running the Company.

Like The Fly, AMER was my $10,000 to $250,000 dollar baby, too.
1994 to 1997…it was uber rockstar and eight balls all the way.
When AMER was done with its 8 or 10 splits in four years and $5-60 dollar daily run-ups, I rolled the dice on a P.O.S. called VERT, and my account went to over $1,000,000.
Talk about luck, timing, and not knowing jack-shit about stocks.
I even had the $5,000 Omega real-time charting software and the $2000 4 monitor video card…and paid like $500 month for real-time and all the things you needed to make it work….I felt like Captain Kirk on the bridge of the Enterprise, and most definitely got laid many times because of it (unlike The Fly, I was still single).
What was really exciting was when you had a quarter million riding on a day-trade and the data and software came to a screeching halt because of some technical glitch/halt.
Datek made a lot of money on me (along with a few others).
Having real-time data, four big CRT monitors, and a high-speed ISDN (and then later DSL) in the mid 90’s was NOT common, and NOT cheap.
Flash forward.
Somehow, many years later, my old account from Datek ended up at TD Ameritrade…still wide open and ready to rock….and all the high-tech, real-time goodies are now free.
The Fly is “The Fly” because he knew when to sell. He had just enough knowledge, and was really in the right place at the right time.
Life is just a series of doors opening and closing.
Make sure you don’t ignore that some of those doors open only for a very brief moment, and can be quite sublime in nature.
It seems like this countries leaders have done all they can over the last 10 years to make sure the “synchronization” of sublime, door-opening occurrences become extinct for most folks.
The good part of the story is that change isn’t permanent. But change is.
Oops…gotta run, The President is on The Tonight Show.
and……….Here’s Johnny!!
For the love of god.
