    If I was in cash, I wouldn’t have ka-chinged, like I did.

However, If I was on the cusp of taking over for Tim Geitner, cash would be the place to be.

I was up a good amount today with my long DXO, ADBE, SKF, short HME plays.

1981er: Fuck a frozen HOGS pork stick. There is no point to this blog, that’s the point. Fly needs not to have a point when he is up 25% this year. This man should head for the Kremlin and locate furry hats and shit and still outpace the ingrate drive by pikers on this blog.

I just nailed the downturn, then uptick, all the while with limited risk, having a large cash position, resulting in a +25% return.

You fuckers should not be chastising me for reducing my clients risk during this time. You should be praying at my fucking altar.

One day you will realize, trading like an ADD riddled moron is a quick way to lose it all.

…that responding to every Yahoo who yanks your chain is a sign of goatophilia.

May you figure it out before you hit 47 1/2 and get banned to the cranky-old-guy-up-in-the-high-seats-perilously-close-to-the-stairs section of the iBC arena.

Speaking of which, the hot dogs get cold before the vendors make it up this far. Can you do something about that?

I was happy to read the perspectives on this being a bear market rally pullback.
Hopefully it still has some legs (and yes I do enjoy bear market rallies with the banks).

I see KDE (4 Kids Entertainment) closed at about $1.00 today.
I used to trade that sucker when it was in the 50-70 range when it was making Japanese cartoon trading cards (started with a “P”)(that’s all I remember).

    So sad.

Raw oatmeal isn’t bad, though, as long as you avoid the quick oats. The steel-cut oats are best.

In 2007 the mark to market rules were changed to define fair value as the bid price rather than the ask price, driving pessimism into the market. Furthermore, in 2007 the uptick rule was experimentally suspended to see what would happen (this uptick rule had been in effect since the depression to avoid a crash).

My take on these two facts is that the market was set up for a crash, all you needed was a rumor of a bank or financial institution to be involvent (Bear Stearns). History always repeats itself. Now they’ll inject a little optimism into the mark to market definition of fair value and bring back the uptick rule. The end result will be a bull market.

Not sure when it will happen, but the bull market will be engineered just as the crash was engineered, except this time there will probably be hefty capital gains taxes making it more difficult to recover realized losses.

    From OEM:

“The SPX rallied from 667 on Mar 6th to 775 today the 16th with very small pullbacks along the way. From the low at 673 on Mar 9th the maximum pullback was only 18 points. The rally was a fairly solid move higher. Today, after the SPX hit 775, it set up a short term negative divergence and the market experienced its first wave of selling since the low, (24 points). If we mark the recent high as wave 1 (108 points) we can expect a retracement of 38% – 50%, or SPX 734 to 721. Both of these levels are right at the support pivots: 734 and 717. Anything more than that, and we would suggest that maybe those still seeking lower lows for this downtrend may be right. Thus far, the market is doing what it should be doing after a downtrend low.”

A correction here will confirm whether we are now in bullish Wave B or not …. if 717-734 holds and we turn back up I will be all in.

anybody catch Fast Money? There’s Joe “GS is best of breed at 200” Terranova, and Zach “the leotard” Karabell. Why the fuck they would pluck these two shit for brains to go on national tv still evades me, but if they’d outfitted them with the I’m With Stupid tee shirts, I’d have at least gotten through the show.

    Anonymous,

Reverse split? Depends if it’s one for two or one for three. But the bottom line is they combine shares together to keep the price up.

A reverse split is something a lucky few got to do back in high school if their girlfriend was on the gymnastics team.
