Hmm.. ACC maybe, MAC yeah possibly, HME no fucking way. I would prefer ACC over all of them with MAC very close behind. HME will do well in my opinion. I am starting a portfolio right now to see how they do.

By the way did you know that the last “stimulus” could have paid off every fucking credit card in the entire US. Now I fucking despise these fucking homo handouts but it may have been a better use to just pay off all the shit monkey’s who ran up the fucking debt. Fuck the more I type the more I want to tear someones slimy gray matter out with a fucking claw hammer so I will just leave it at that, truly egregious. Makes you want to go all Christian Bale and shit sometimes.

I think you ought to impose a deserving rule on the PPT. Those that don’t deserve it proven by suckass attitude don’t get the PPT.

In fact the PPT is like entry through heavens gate. You have to be a deserver to get in and only those chose few that meet those stringent deserving requirements are allowed. As it should be.

    Fly –

What is your rationale behind charging a price that is beyond what the average reader here would consider reasonable (we’re in a recession here)? You don’t need the cash that you’d get from PPT, you don’t want a group of “300 or so subscribers” to teach like OA, and based on the reasons why you blog (like most other bloggers here), it didn’t seem like you were the exclusive type… so is it just so f*ckers don’t get the PPT for free?

Part of what makes this blog is the diversity and insight of the tabbed bloggers and regulars. The intra day posts have died out and the regulars (at least quite a few) are gone onto PPT – which leaves the question, WHY is traffic at an all time high?

    1. People think the bottom is in and are looking for recs
    2. People are looking for more posts and so are constantly refreshing

Actually, $29.99 a month for an annual sub IS NOT out of reach for you losers. Come on, quit with the poverty schtick. Moreover, if you are poor, you have no business trading this market. I do not want to represent the impoverished.

    As for PPT:

It changes nothing about iBC. I have been posting more than ever. The other tabbed bloggers are the laziest fuckers in the business and have been lazy before PPT and will continue to be lazy after PPT.

PPT is a product. For those who subscribe, I throw in a little bonus, via my personal research. That’s all. You are not obligated to subscribe. And, if you can’t afford 49.99, 39.99 or 29.99 per month, I don’t want you to.

I’ve got no issues with your sub price. I’m just saying that it would seem like most of your readers have an account balance smaller than your average (or even smallest) trade on an individual stock.

Technically, aren’t you always kicking ass? I don’t see that being the reason why your traffic has spiked.

Also, why are there no other fundamental analysts other than you?

I have enjoyed reading this site for the past 8 months or so. I would really like to join the PPT but recently graduating college and unable to find a job in the accounting industry has made that impossible. Just as the PPT promo says, the PPT cuts out the ‘yahoo message board’ type conversations that go on in the comments section. The fly is golden and I don’t miss a post. Just can’t afford the PPT… yet. You get what you pay for. Fair enough. Keep up the good work.

You have no idea how I look forward to that day. Bartending is not gonna pay the PPT bill, the student loan bill, or the fund trading account. I just enjoy the ideas and learning that goes on at IBC. I can’t put a price on what I have learned since finding this site. PPT is for those that are serious about their investing and should be viewed as an expense to their business. I have no doubt that PPT will put coin in your pocket. I don’t understand those that take it as a slight to the community. It’s just business. Plain and simple.

If you think about it you actually would want only small players using the PPT. The reason is that really big players would fuck the entry and exit price for you.

Furthermore snall player doesn’t necessarily mean bad players as size is related to the size of people’s kitty and how big their knackers are.

I can tell you some of the better traders I’ve seen were actually small traders that were very gifted but didn’t have the balls to get bigger.

    Tim knight’s bullshit.

In spite of having many long positions, I am more convinced than ever we’re going to see weakness next week. I’m prepared for either direction, but a downward market would be more beneficial to me than continued strength.

So Tim the directional trader makes money if the market goes up or down which is very convenient. He could be pairs trading and if he is then the market’s direction doesn’t really matter as the spread is what’s important. However he’s not really saying that.

In reckon the guy is a huge bullshitter.

He says he carries up to two hundred positions at a time. Fair enough. How exactly does he make money in directional moves if he doesn’t pair trade?

    Read the fucking comment again:

In spite of having many long positions, I am more convinced than ever we’re going to see weakness next week. I’m prepared for either direction, but a downward market would be more beneficial to me than continued strength.

How the fuck do you make money by positioning for ” either direction? He’s not saying his market neutral. What’s he do, count the winning side of the longs or shorts and avoiding the losses on the other side?

As for brown nosing aren’t you doing exactly the same thing by sticking your own nose up Knight’s arse without defending his silly comment other than saying “he’s a pro”? Sticking up for him with a stupid comment makes you a bigger moron.

I don’t give a shit what fly thinks of knight by the way.

I infrequently go there, but when I do, I read the comments and find they’re all a bunch of non thinking sycophants breathlessly waiting for Tim to tell them the next trade he’s thinking about. It’s disgusting watching grownups behave that way.

Fly’s rant about us lazy bloggers is cracking me up.

Truthfully folks, nothing has changed. I had a death in the family a little over a week ago and that took some time away, but other than that, things are on a fairly normal schedule.

The PPT has an active forum where things are more tame and more about learning and helping without the ball-busting, but what the sub pays for is the engine. Yes Fly goes deeper into detail on some topics, for example, the 4 horseman of death, and I have posted an occasional piece on systems, Danny has gone into more detail on a few topics, but other than that, our attention is still on maintaining and growing the iBC blogs.

I think all of the bloggers are going to take time to answer questions and provide advice when the people asking have subscribed, but that in no way means I quit answering questions and providing advice on my own blog. Basically, I enjoy helping people and I enjoy good dialogue, and I want to keep learning too. My blog should reflect that, and I don’t see that it has changed.

I’m not sure if you other guys are lazy, Shed, but you all seem to lack passion. Frankly most of the other stuff with the exception of Cronkite (and fly of course) isn’t that interesting. That’s just an opinion.

Cronkite is actually a decent news hound and in fact seems to go for stories like a beagle chasing a jackrabbit. He’s got a nose for whats important that day. The rest of you fuckers ought to perhaps do a little coke or something to liven up as you all seem to be lying around as though you’re on Valium tabs.

Oh, and one other thing. TA is not “the preferred crutch for the lazy and/or misfit investor”. Most cannot survive on conventional TA for a number of reasons, including an inability by most to be able to trade the system based on their TA without wilting under the pressure to override it; clinging to busted forms of TA, like attempting to trade conventional patterns in this fucking market, etc. Many TA guys are the type who prefer to site in a dark dungeon surrounded by computer screens of data and open Excel spreadsheets. All the while raking in egregious amounts of coin from unsuspecting “fundamental analysis only” types. Do not be deceived by the delivery.

    • 0
    • 0
    • 0 Deem this to be "Fake News"
  53. Junk Spread

Oh, and one other thing. The Fly knows TA used appropriately is lucrative, just as fundamental analysis used appropriately is lucrative. The trick is to know how to use it. I personally find fundie analysis less to my liking because I like to see results sooner rather than later. Fundie analysis tends to ignore market psychology and other such factors. It’s not my thing and doesn’t fit me. Doesn’t make it useless, just useless to me (used alone, I mean, since I use it in my initial screens before subjecting candidates to TA). Fly discounts it because it’s his schtick. Deep down inside his rotten soul (if there is one to be found), he knows of it’s utility.

    Junk, thanks.

TA is difficult because it seems so simple. The weakness of TA is there is no framework for handling psychology. Yes, generally buying support and selling resistance works. Yes, generally buying a breakout will work, etc, etc.

However, psychology leads people to believe that something so simple can’t work. It does. It works though because most people, when a stock reaches support, think “Surely its going to keep going down” and so they don’t buy it. Then, they buy instead at resistance because surely it is going to breakout, which it doesn’t.

If for nothing else, with so many traders using TA, it is important to make sure you are seeing what most other people are seeing. There are fewer surprises that way.

Spirited banter. Bottom line to anyone on here is you can vote with your mind, no mouth, no feet, no mouse..yeah a fucking mouse click. (Amazing how far technology has moved mankind in expressing their opinion in 15 years)

Either you like the banter or you don’t, either you express opinions on the topics or you don’t, either you question the picks/sentiment or you don’t….you get to choose..free will brother.

What is troubling is those that bash what is created…This site takes effort and I can’t imagine the effort put in before it became on line. Further the content takes it own other skill sets.

If you have something better, produce it, let us all flock to it..baaaaah, baaah.

You get what you get for free. If you can’t afford the upgrade don’t complain, work harder and make some money. And by the way, the PTT is front money only. I’ve already made way more than the 6 months subscription I bought. Why did I go six instead of a piker one month, because I’ve already made so much from iBankCoin for FREE I figure I owe the FLY that much anyway. Listen up you cheap fucking losers; with PTT you get what you pay for and you will (except for you) make coin.

Once I was being walked to the plane by airline staff and some dick grumbled that I was cutting in line. Like I’m going to wait in a barn and stand in line with you coach loving chumps. Listen to the FLY when he occasionally advises you about investing instead of searching for a free pick. With PTT you make your own picks. You suckers have it backwards. You have to be in FRONT of the market and then have whatever technicals you are looking at confirm your move, NOT wait for technical confirmation then buy. FYI, the best part of the move has already passed you by and the FLY is taking profits by selling to you. Won’t you punks ever learn? Feeling lucky isn’t part of being a sucessful trader. And get with PTT you cheap fucks.

Sam Walton 10 Rules of Building a Business

Rule 1 – Commit to your business.Believe in it more than anybody else. I think I overcame
every single one of my personal shortcomings by the sheer passion I brought to my work. I don’t know if you’re born with this kind of passion, or if you can learn it. But I do know you need it. If you love your work, you’ll be out there every day trying to do it the best you possibly can, and pretty soon everybody around will catch the passion from you — like a fever.

Rule 2 – Share your profits with all your associates, and treat them as partners. In turn, they will treat you as a partner, and together you will all perform beyond your wildest expectations. Remain a corporation and retain control if you like, but behave as a servant leader in a partnership. Encourage your associates to hold a stake in the company. Offer discounted stock, and grant them stock for their retirement. It’s the single best thing we ever did.

Rule 3 – Motivate your partners.Money and ownership alone aren’t enough. Constantly, day-by-day, think of new and more interesting ways to motivate and challenge your partners. Set high goals, encourage competition, and then keep score. Make bets with outrageous payoffs. If things get stale, cross-pollinate; have managers switch jobs with one another to stay challenged. Keep everybody guessing as to what your next trick is going to be. Don’t become too predictable.

Rule 4 – Communicate everything you possibly can to your partners. The more they know, the more they’ll understand. The more they understand, the more they’ll care. Once they care, there’s no stopping them. If you don’t trust your associates to know what’s going on, they’ll know you don’t really consider them partners. Information is power, and the gain you get from empowering your associates more than offsets the risk of informing your competitors.

Rule 5 – Appreciate everything your associates do for the business.A paycheck and a stock option will buy one kind of loyalty. But all of us like to be told how much somebody appreciates what we do for them. We like to hear it often, and especially when we have done something we’re really proud of. Nothing else can quite substitute for a few well-chosen, well-timed, sincere words of praise. They’re absolutely free — and worth a fortune.

Rule 6 – Celebrate your successes.Find some humor in your failures. Don’t take yourself so seriously. Loosen up, and everybody around you will loosen up. Have fun. Show enthusiasm – always. When all else fails, put on a costume and sing a silly song. Then make everybody else sing with you. Don’t do a hula on Wall Street. It’s been done. Think up your own stunt. All of this is more important, and more fun, than you think, and it really fools the competition. “Why should we take those cornballs at Wal-Mart seriously?”

Rule 7 – Listen to everyone in your company. And figure out ways to get them talking. The folks on the front lines — the ones who actually talk to the customer — are the only ones who really know what’s going on out there. You’d better find out what they know. This really is what total quality is all about. To push responsibility down in your organization, and to force good ideas to bubble up within it, you must listen to what your associates are trying to tell you.

Rule 8 – Exceed your customers’ expectations. If you do, they’ll come back over and over. Give them what they want — and a little more. Let them know you appreciate them. Make good on all your mistakes, and don’t make excuses…apologize. Stand behind everything you do. The two most important words I ever wrote were on that first Wal-Mart sign, “Satisfaction Guaranteed.” They’re still up there, and they have made all the difference.

Rule 9 – Control your expenses better than your competition. This is where you can always find the competitive advantage. For 25 years running — long before Wal-Mart was known as the nation’s largest retailer — we ranked No. 1 in our industry for the lowest ratio of expenses to sales. You can make a lot of different mistakes and still recover if you run an efficient operation. Or you can be brilliant and still go out of business if you’re too inefficient.

Rule 10 – Swim upstream.Go the other way. Ignore the conventional wisdom. If everybody else is doing it one way, there’s a good chance you can find your niche by going in exactly the opposite direction. But be prepared for a lot of folks to wave you down and tell you you’re headed the wrong way. I guess in all my years, what I heard more often than anything was: A town of less than 50,000 population cannot support a discount store for very long.

seriously– $29.99 is a joke– How can you complain about that? Over the course of the next month have 3 fewer cocktails when your out to dinner or at a bar. How much is your time worth? If you take one trade you would not have because of the PPT or if it saves you 1 hour of research(im hoping anyone trading this market is making or would be making at least $30/h) is that not worth it?

Admittedly i have not signed up but it is for entirely different reasons.

Quick question to the regulars on ibankcoin, how do you regard st*fel ni*olaus as?, the first * is i and second * is c. Small crocks? Least evil? Patriots in disguise? Or excellent market callers?

The people I know who work there are good folks. The CEO is kind of an asshat, but their Research has been some of the best on the Street in the last year or so. Take that with a grain, as the “relativity” is key, there.

They recently bought some piece of Legg Mason’s capital markets group, and got some decent, if hide-bound bankers there as well.

Final rec: Not a bucket shoppe and maybe even “on the way up” on the tails of a strong research effort.

St. Looey based, so they’ve got a Midwestern flavah.

NOTE: This is NOT a rec on their stock, as that’s a huge “who that flu knows given this market” question.

The Internet will surely miss the original version of iBC, Now that they just be chargin’ for bloggin’ and the PPT,

Predictions say they end up like IBOC by the end of 2010!

WTF are you talking about? This blog hasn’t changed at all, and I can tell you as I’ve seen both sides. The “extra value” side just gets a little deeper into the numbers, reasons, etc, on the picks, that’s all.

For those of you curious about how the Fly makes his picks, and maybe have some extra queries he can address, it’s a supreme value.

So stop whining about 2.1 trades (in and out at at $7.99 a trade) per month price. You know this is not a buy and hold market, why not make the investment in some guidance you know is quality?

If you think 2.1 round trip trades per month is too much, fine, then don’t buy, but STFU already.

Now that they just be chargin’ for bloggin’ and the PPT,

I don’t know WTF you are talking about. This blog has not “lost” anything in regards to content since the opening of the PPT. I know, as I’ve seen both sides.

The premium side is simply a more serious, more in depth and better explained version of what you see here, combined with analytical materials to assist you in researching trades on your own. Many of you come with questions here (at iBC) to explain “A” or “B” trades Fly speaks of, and PPT is a great place to get those questions answered by Fly and the other bloggers.

Listen we can all agree this is NOT a “buy and hold” market, so why not get with a sherpa (or six) who can assist you with some guidance. And let’s not talk about the cost, which is about 2.1 round trip trades per month (at $7.99/ trade). That’s egregiously cheap, and if you think of it as “tuition” something of the bargain of a lifetime.

No, I’m not a shareholder (I wish I was), and I give this testimony freely. Some day you will be bragging to your idiot friends at the bar that you were one of PPT’s first subscribers.

Usually before a government makes it’s National Socialist move, their is some major terrorist incident that calls for emergency suspension of civil liberties and freedoms in order to spy on it’s people, make lists, justify war, and set up prison camps. Usually there is also an economic crisis that precedes or follows the seizure of government power where the government has to step in and take more control.

Glad that could never happen here.

Saw some good stuff and unfortunately also saw the Challenger explode in the sky above my office in Jan. 1986. Very eerie and for about two hours afterwards I could still see the streaks in the sky from the explosion. It was a cold day, no clouds (Carolina Blue sky), and no wind.

If you want to get angry, go check out the cumulative NASA budget over the last 50 years, adjust for inflation, and then compare that number to any of the stimuli/bailouts we’ve seen in the past six months. For $700bn, we could have the BHO Mars Spaceport in operation by 2011.

I’m on the edge of considering the PPT but I’m hardly the ball busting trader the rest of you are, so I wonder how well it’d work for me other than to remind me that I need more $$$ to play in the burning casino.

If you’re starting out you have a few options, ride out the traffic via stocktwits which in time will be spammed with crap.

Go with timothyasshole ….. or PPT. The fly seem like a better bet but Fly ya gotta sell it better. I’ve scoured the web for blog testimonials, reviews anything on PPT, I can’t find jack. You need to get some review love of that thing to get me closer to the hell ya.

It is cheap I get that, and no doubt informative, i hope, and make some coin sure, but is it beyond me, it could be, i dunno, I’ve flushed bigger game than a mere 30 bucks before, will probably give it a whirl.
