However, as you know through documented proof, “The Fly” fucking owns this market, as if it were made from hamburgers— and I am the hamburgerlar. Oh and A. Swan owns the market too.
Well done.
In closing, I am riding [[FXP]] , National-Oilwell Varco, Inc. [[NOV]] , [[ROM]] and [[EEV]] higher, while losing a little bit in [[DUG]] , [[UYM]] and [[REW]] .
At the end of the day, miraculously, I closed +1.8%, reversing an intraday loss of more than 2%.
In other words, “The Fly” wins again, even when it appears he is losing badly.

Thats 6000 shares at a cost basis of 5.47. Stops are reset at 5.61 now since that is where I started and I don’t want to lose money on any of the lots and would like to cover commissions. Most likely I will get murdered in the AM but at least its fun right?

The year 2009 is going to be an incredibly brutal economic period. Unemployment will spike to levels not seen in our lifetime (ex the folks who are in their 80s). Having said that, the amount of stimulus being supplied by the Fed/federal government is “unprecedented” (a word that doesn’t really do justice to the magnitude of those actions). The fact that we have these major forces colliding almost daily — with one or the other arbitrarily holding sway on any given day — makes it especially dangerous to hold positions. The potential for a sizzling rally makes it dangerous to be short, while the upcoming economic disaster makes it terribly dangerous to be long. For now, I prefer being far more liquid than usual, as I have no interest in taking on an inordinate amount of risk.

Compare volume of lows from 10-10 with 10-27 with 11-17. Volume has dried up as the “re-tests” check to see if there is any supply down there to slide though – no doing. All bounces are showing much greater stength than those pushes to the lows. Better set up an apt with Tracy Baker, MD as the upcoming rally is expected to cause your shorts to blow up in your face leaving your kids to even shriek in horror and run from the dinner table as you stagger in. This will be fun.

We were talking about the “bottom” today at the office and the consensus was that 7000 is just not scary enough.
6500 sounded fucked-up, though.
So my new feeling is that we will blade through 7000, briefly touch down around the 6500-6700 level and then bounce.
