Global demand indicators are trailing indicators, we won’t realistically be able to quantify global demand destruction for another month at best. Short refiners. My thesis is very simple yet seems to ring true every single time.
Iran sabre rattles about taking out (or trying to at least) Israel. Israel takes it very seriously. Iran says it would attempt to blockade tanker activity in the Straight of Hormuz if anybody takes action against them. Then they back off to the point of yesterday their asshole leader makes a bullshit speech in Malaysia about how they have no interest in war, war games, blocking the straight, etc. Just hours after his bullshit speech, they fire test missles. They are not to be trusted. They are total pussies but they are crazy pussies. I say we bomb the fuck out their nuke sites NOW because they are assholes and cannot be trusted. It will cause severe short term pain but at least armageddon will be delayed for a few more weeks.
