But doesn’t RVBD also incorporate a proprietary packet compression thats really beneficial? By the way GS had a fucking buy on the name until the analyst left and a new one came in. Bottom line this trade is based mainly on what their primary vendor is selling. I have a meeting with RVBD this coming week and will let you know what I find but by no means am I claiming to be an expert with their products, personally routing optimization is more important to me ala Internap.

incidentally, all my knowledge comes from doing some research after hearing the RVBD CEO admit “if it wasnt for microsofts poor coding, RVBD wouldnt exist”
RVBDs’ main claim to fame is accelerating access to Microsoft Office application documents across the network (.doc, .xls etc).
the microsoft networking code does repeated 3 phase handshakes (think SYN ACK SYN-ACK) every 5 bytes or something moronic
RVBD bypasses the nonsense, and does the handshakes every 1 kb or something
genius, like thats worth a $Billion
note: i realize that RVBD has branched out into other areas like Oracle Financials or some other god awful P.O.S., but it is my understanding that the M$ piece is what brings home the bacon
