The market is at its breaking point, thanks to egregiously expensive oil prices. There is no way the economy can rebound with gasoline at 5 bucks. Even retards know that.
With oil breaking the balls of Congress and its people, sell short everything under the Sun, with the marked exception of energy related names.
I am have a fucking field day with these little (oil) turds. Just know this, all things “Fly” are glorious. After a brief set back in April, “The Fly” has rebounded with the might and vigor of 10,000 oil rigs, sending his Godly accounts up a staggering 25%, year to date.
Naturally, many of you have greater percentage gains, mainly due to the minimal size of your bankroll.
Just know this, for every 1 win for you, there are 100 for me.
As an aside, I’m “feeling my oats” here with FNSR and FTK. And, with regards to dice rolls, BDCO, QTWW, END and AOG suit me just fine.
For the moment, the ethanol trade is delayed, due to the two day rally in the price of corn. Should that grain remain high, I might throw a fit and begin “fastballing” my trader/servant with ears of corn.
At the moment, my top long ideas are: PCZ, FTK, FNSR, AUY, SRS, SKF, FXP, REW and LEI QTWW.
My top short ideas are: MER, LEH, FED, WM, DSL, FHN, CORS, CHL and POT.

I was kidding about buying DCR, you guys know I’ve been long crude for the past year.
QTWW has just about the crummiest management you’ll find in a non-scam company. Don’t stay there very long, Fly.
How crummy are they?
QTWW was spun out from Impco (IMCO now FSYS). I took an interest in Impco when it got into hydrogen fuel storage and fuel systems (the part of the company that became QTWW). Impco fans were spamming the fuel cell stock boards. I took up residence on the Yahoo IMCO stock board and began dissecting the IMCO PRs and filings and debunking the claims of the IMCO fans.
The bastards filed a John Doe suit against me and filed a subpoena demanding that Yahoo turn my user info over (it wouldn’t have identified me).
It was a meritless suit, as I’d always based everything on solid research. The funniest claim, though, was that I’d stolen trade secrets. The basis for the claim was that I’d hinted at the contents of a company PR the day before the release date. I had indeed done that. IMCO itself posted the PR on the website the night before.
Anyway, QTWW hasn’t changed leadership since the spinoff, and has made one dumb move after another while continuing to pour money into a hydrogen storage technology that would never achieve the cost and performance the market needed.
It took me several years to decide whether they had a calculated strategy to milk the shareholders or if they were just incompetent at everything but milking the shareholders. I finally settled on the latter.
Fly will probably say “Just a trade, fuck face, just a trade.”

The downturn in commercial real estate (at least in the greater Washington area) is here. I just got done reading some 1Q reports from CRE brokers and the takeaways are consistent:
* Negative absorption rates;
* Tenants’ consolidation;
* More of the buildings delivering (and there are many) are not pre-leased;
* Higher sublease space available;
* Much higher “tenant improvement” allowances;
* Tenants’ moving down in rent / location;
* Rents are still inching up in selected areas, but the rate of increase is almost flat;
* Landlord operating expenses in hockey-stick mode;
* And I’ve also been told – but have not confirmed – that a building in the Reston area has been forced into bankruptcy. That would be the first one in many moons.
The sharp eyes of Minyan Scott spotted the ProShares UltraShort Real Estate (SRS) coming off a nice and tight support level. I’m in.
