Common sense says to short everything in sight. However, price action dictates otherwise. The reason why we are undergoing multiple expansion is due to a rosy 2nd half outlook. The earnings comparisons from Q4, ’07 to Q4, ’08 are absurd. We are expected to increase earnings by a whopping 62%.
I believe it makes sense to milk this rosy outlook as long as one can, without having to actually see the proof. In other words, trade this rally, as if it were the last rally of your life.

Just a thought. If Fed is expected to stop easing rates after this meeting, and the trade is to sell ag/commodities, what about China? If the dollar rebounds and with lower commodity prices, a lower yuan might continue to drive China’s growth story once again? Or am I totally wrong in this assumption?

Any real conservative would be building up our DEFENSE to defned our own borders, and they certainly would be “conserving” a lot more. The government is now many times larger than the one in England that we revolted from, and the taxes are higher. We’re now the 2nd most corperately taxed nation, and we’re not the only one with a stock market anymore. It’s no surprise that rich people are moving their money out of the U.S. If you’re a “real conservative”, then mission failed. This nation has been run by facist liberals for the last century, and not very well at that.
But then again, the federal reserve has us by the cajones, and if we stop spending and printing money, there’s not enough dollars available to pay back the fed, so we are forced to surrender assets that have real value one way or another.
