When I leave my house in Paradise Valley in Arizona to fly to an engagement, I know that by the time I return, I will be disappointed, abused, talked down to, talked back to, ignored, belittled, poorly served and more by a group of people who honestly don’t give a crap about me or any of their other customers: airline employees. The airline industry sucks. Poor service runs rampant. Airline employees for the most part are the worst employees in America. I recently told an American Airlines flight attendant that the only thing being Executive Platinum and flying first class did was get me on the plane earlier so they could be rude to me longer! She didn’t think I was funny. But the others sitting around me did! So that’s why I erased my long boring bitchy blog: same ol’ story that you could just as easily have told me.

btw, you read mauldins weekly blurb last week? excellent explanation of the velocity of money and GDP (P=MV).
Null, thanks, but see my explanation above. I really do like Mauldin’s stuff, but even his velocity of money piece left itself open to different interpretations, according to one’s biases.
Chivas thought it a good sign, me not so much.

i agree that the latter part of mauldins blurb was open to interpretation (as they were his conclusions). what i found valuable was the kindergarten level explanation of GDP etc.
weird thing is, somehow i stumbled across the Hoisington quarterly review last week (i have no idea how i find these things, i can never remember). it too was very good, but i was a little confused about the velocity of money concept contained therein…then three days later, along comes mauldin, and he explains it very concisely.
weird how that worked out.
