Get Those Fucking Boats!

“The Fly” was somewhat concerned that the “deflationary pressures,” brought on by the Fed’s tight monetary policy, might suck the oil producers dry—sending a barrel of oil under a mind numbing $115—until today.

Indeed, those pesky little Iranian fuckers, with their boats, must be taught a lesson.

I propose a full scale invasion, led by a battalion of internet bloggers and retired attorneys.

As you can see by now, all of “The Fly’s” recent moves have been masterful. All of my new banking stocks are up, while the nefarious bastards from China see their stocks trade down—allowing [[FXP]] to reinflate.

However, at the same time, [[CTRP]] is up!

A glorious day awaits “The Fly,” sometime soon.

For now, I am a big bull on all banks. [[AXP]] had kickass numbers, so will everyone else.

Remember, the more money the banks lose—the better.

Top pick: CTRP

    Costanza would be proud.

Btw, we need to nuke Iran all the way back to the Stone Age, and make the country a parking lot for our military vehicles and whatnot.

Thats a really great solution alphadawgg, hey lets nuke Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, China, Iraq, Russia, and everyone to the stone age that our politicians ever had a disagreement with. Especially those damn Iranians I mean what were they thinking using their boats in the Persian Gulf, its not like its their waters. Lets make all Iranians pay for that by killing them all.

btw, I’m against nuclear war, even against Iran. There are many human beings who do not approve of government politics there.

And a nuke attack on Iran, would likely trigger WW3, which would likely be a nuclear holocaust. The US mainland would hardly be immune.

I support SteveO’s or Fly’s solution and agree with MarketRaiders sarcasm.

There is still plenty of parking in our newest strategic military base, Iraq.

Note: The U.S. Military is not responsible for damage(s) to your vehicle, and/or any objects lost, stolen, or obliterated in a suicide attack.

    Oil Price Sensitive to Geopolitics
A few weeks ago, I highlighted the fact that the US Government was topping off the strategic petroleum reserve at a time when oil prices were over $100 and during an election year. I also mentioned that Vice President Cheney was in the Middle East at the end of March and I would add that President Bush met with Vladimir Putin just a few weeks ago. Something didn’t smell right and based on the trading in crude in the past few weeks, we’re starting to understand why.

This week, we learned that the Israelis did in fact bomb a Syrian nuclear reactor last year and the United States in now claiming that the North Koreans were assisting the Syrians in their efforts. Today, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff accused the Iranians of increasing its efforts to train and arm insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan and there are rumors of an American ship firing a warning shot at the Iranians.

Folks, the saber rattling is getting louder and its no wonder that crude is back to all-time highs. I’m not sure what the agenda is, but it does appear that the Bush administration is trying to 1) force a confrontation or 2) get everyone to the negotiating table. This feels like high stakes poker to me.

The crude oil market has shown how sensitive it is to every little supply disruption. There simply is not enough product to go around and demand has shown no sign of abating. So how do you play the energy markets? I’m not sure you do…sometimes it’s better to be on the sidelines. Right now may be one of those times.

Does anyone else think that Fly is merely discouraging bearish opinions so that mother market doesn’t get angry like before. In a few weeks the Fly will win by being short banks despite these posts looking like he is losing badly.

I’ve tried several times to become a reader.. mainly because Lindzon seems to follow you. But when reading your posts i am truly embarrassed for you. I’m a solo entrepreneur and don’t behave like a stuffy grownup, but man life is a much better experience when some degree of class and humility are involved. Good luck to you, masterful one.

    Albert,

Even though you were unable to find the Grand Unified Equation, your Theory of Relativity has a few holes in it (literally and their black), and you helped facilitate the creation of nuclear weapons I always thought you were a standup guy.

Re: Iran in the Stone Age

It’s a joke, MarketRaider. Don’t get all liberal and holier than thou on me now.

I’m well aware of and understand the situation—more than you realize. However, after having served this country, one sometimes has antagonistic thoughts about foreigners and foreign governments, that need to be expressed in a humorous and open forum like this. Just exercising my First Amendment rights, like you.

    MarketRaider,

Mea Culpa on the development of nukes. I cried for days when Truman told me he was gonna test them out on some poor unfortunates in Japan, many moons ago.

Of course my Theory of Relativity has holes, that why its called a ‘theory’.

Frankly, that fucker running & ruining Iran is following a falsified version of my teachings. As is his crusader opponent in the White House, following a falsified version of my earlier prophet & spiritual brother, of 2000 years ago.

Neither will receive what they are expecting when this life is over; no heaven for Bush, no virgins for Ahmenidinjad or whatever his name be.

First I’m not liberal or conservative I just like people of all kinds. Second had an Iranian said lets nuke all of America to the stone age I am sure you wouldn’t care much for that. Third there is a real possibility that our dumb-shit president might do something stupid again and end up killing a lot of innocent people as he did in Iraq. Finally if you are antagonistic against foreigners I suggest you travel more. You will find most of them are good people.

I currently live in Dubai after living in LA all my life and I will tell you kill them all comments by people living here 0, kill them all comments back when I was in the U.S. too may to count. Although it’s a joke to you my family and I, as well as many Americans living in the ME don’t want to get caught in the crossfire should said dumb-ass president want to start another oil war.

And actually alphadawgg I want to say thanks for actually being cool enough to say what you said (nukes being bad), shows you have better character than most people have.

Why would the U.S. Gub’mint want to invade Iran?

We already have a foothold in the region and that allows us to secure a 100 billion barrel reserve in Iraq, and protect a 99 billion barrel reserve in Kuwait.

Besides we would have to draft alot of soldiers and there hasn’t been anything lately to justify that.

Everybody needs sources of oil. Armageddon will take place in that part of the world. There are so many warring factions, it borders lunacy.

The only way we can curtail that is to protect our “interests” over there. We are now the world’s policemen, like it or not.

Hey Fly…..if this is “a step too far”….just smack me. No worries. I’m curious as to roughly what size your “fund” is (even just some sort of range)….and also what % of your own total invested assets you have at stake in the fund?

    It’s Friday…..just thought I’d ask.

There is a growing democracy movement inside Iran (opposite of what happened in the ’70s) especially with the students. The Iranian President is not that popular in Iran and his people lost quite a few seats in the last election. It’s the mullahs who are pulling the strings and are a pain in the medieval ass.
We need to encourage this pro democracy movement with money and CIA type stuff. Just don’t involve Jimmah Carter as he will screw it up.

Kiwin…..seems that goats might command a greater price in many markets (even at the Fed window?) than mortgage backed securities. That being the case, “The Fly’s” goats should garner him a truck load of Treasuries in the next TAF, no?

    “The Fly” wins again!!

WWIII will start with an atomic bomb blast in NYC, but will not be a nuclear war. Expect that to start sometime late in 2010 if I remember correctly. It will last until 2019. WWIV will be an all out nuclear war and will start in 2040. Since I hope to be gone by that time I don’t recall how long it will last. These wars will be fought more over food than oil I believe. Hope I haven’t disturbed anyones inner peace.
