So, with that being said, Mr. Clemens is exonerated of all the frivolous charges levied against him, mainly because he is a kick-ass pitcher. Plus anyway, how could I be mad at a crack addict, who plays baseball in one big crack house?

95% of professional athletes use steroids of one type or another. Most will never get caught. There are so many ways to avoid steroid detection. Doctors create steroids and also know which ones will get detected in a urine test and which ones won’t. Plus its too darn expensive to test athletes for every steroid out there.
I don;t see the big deal with steroid use considering everyone does it. Its an even playing field.

They management and unions need to get together and allow a certain number of random tests per season. They need to bring public confidence into the game.

Professional athletes also pee in cups infront of testers. The difference. Prior to taking the test they use a catheter to remove all urine from their bladder. Then foreign ‘non tainted’ urine is injected into them. This is done a few hours before testing. The process is extremely painful. But when millions of dollars are at stake who cares.
CAP- They then need to do the testing without announcing ahead of time when the peeing will take place. This should keep the test “clean”.
Cap – agree with you that many are using chemical help. However, don’t agree that “Its an even playing field” as far as the record book is concerned. Steroids improve both fast-twitch and slow-twitch muscles, and the guys playing back in the day didn’t have that help.
