for the second time in 2 or 2 wks upside volume exceeded downside by better than 10-1. that also occurred at the bottoms of august, march and june july of last year. mr fly said a few days ago that the problem was one of confidence, and i think thats right, brought about in main by the credit tightning problems due to sub-prime siv’s cdo’s clo’s you name it. the slow down in the economy is directly related to this. i think the fed one way or another will resolve this, because if they do not we could have replay of the 1930’s. one big clue imho to see if this move has legs, regardless how it plays out, melt up or slow and steady needs to have the participation of consumer durables, financials , and of course tech.

Versus now, Banks not lending moneys -no qualified borrowers, Banks forced to liquidate stocks to meet tier one margins, Asset deterioration as current borrowers default, massive layoffs looming. Serious questions about the opacity of their quarterly statements, not on what is on the statements but on what should be on the balance sheet. There are serious solvency issues that may have been skirted by the SEC and the Federal Reserve Bank. Not enough friggin info.

Gap & Yap,
JCG looks like a good candidate for a swing trade. It tested March’s low at $34 three times and bounced strong each time. Also, it just closed above the 4, 8, & 21 EMAs, so it now has some support under it.
Possible profit target in the mid-40s.
The only thing I don’t like is the 6 percent plus move today, which leads me to believe it may pull back a bit before moving up.
When setting a stop keep in mind that its ATR is $2.56, so you’ll need to give it some room, but not too much! Somewhere below today’s low would probably be good.
