I have several blown up earnings bets and such expiring today. It’s always a highlight when expiration cleanses the screens.
I sold my August $BIDU calls north of $13.00 today, from $1.60, $STMP calls for over 300%, and will be working these $JD and $TWLO 46’s into the close.
*Closed the rest of $TWLO and $JD calls for +650% each.*
I bought into some $TWTR, $IMPV….and have been staring down $RHT, $PYPL, $ADPT and $ZG. Speaking of which, I have a fresh watchlist for After Hours.
If I offended anyone this week, stop bothering me. Or at least ask me questions that don’t make me feel like I am making your decisions for you. If you want me to do that, give me the keys to your Zecco account and don’t let your woman see the statements.

Won’t debate value. I’ll debate how to create a chase though, in order to transfer already rich shares onto the less fortunate.
I totally agree with you on your premise. I think the article actually makes some good reasons for a chase – limited float, lock up period expiry in December, etc. your option investing style has me reading articles like this totally different from before.

Stocks: Hedge funds added to long exposure in the Nikkei. Hedge funds are very short VIX futures, and this is after the largest ever 8-week decline in spot VIX. Current conditions are very similar to the crowded short positioning and low spot VIX levels that preceded the 50% VIX spike during the Brexit drama. Hedge funds added to longs and reduced shorts in the S&P 500.
Weekend Thoughts.
Nailed the breakout in the Semiconductors last week. Expect continuation in the group should Tuesday’s Book to Bill meet or exceed expectations. AMAT, however is on a trajectory of its own and headed to $50/sh regardless of what the rest of the group does.
Glad I bought RH Sept calls and passed on both FIT / GPRO. TWTR sucks too – made and lost a bunch of money in that POS last week. Sold TWTR shares out of LT portfolio on Friday.
New position:
NTAP Oct 41 calls. My level of conviction is very high with this new position based on price and volume action pre and post-earnings.
SBUX Sept 60 calls. Not feeling the mojo in this group. Lost $ on SHAK trade this week.
Final Thought: The short side seems awfully crowded and The Fly should strongly consider a 2H16 cameo based on the list of Old Men below that are due for hip replacements.
