Fear trade / inflation trade in precious metals appears to have reached its pinnacle. Time to sell Gold shares and more notably FCX.
Had to turn bullish again this morning based on my indicators: vix, CBOE p/c, nysi, & nymo:
Bot : RH 36.39, NFLX 97.44, SGG 36.36, WYNN 91.89, DUST 3.58, PNC 84.44
Sold rest of GILD 91.07, Trimmed TBT 37.47 as I needed to make room for buys.
Remain neutral oil & Natgas
The buys were 1/4 positions with dry powder available for Monday or Tuesday dip.
Of all banks I think PNC is one of the top ones. They usually keep their noses clean
Possible retest of the breakout on CBI. Buyers came in today but on low volume
i was wondering about FSLR. Sitting at the cusp of the pocket, but unlike last year it hasn’t crashed back down. Is this the year it happens? Will you still be buying a murdered out model s p85?
Since there’s nothing going on here today, i can start pulling opinions from those that are still lurking. I’m trying to form a buy list for the summer. I won’t be at my desk as much, so I am looking for 3 positions that I can hold and not babysit from April/May-July/August. I’m trying to start the process now, because I want to be ready and be able to start building this positions as they set up, rather than waiting until the week of and try to start buying in a rush regardless of a good spot to initiate.
My first idea was $UA. With roughly 6 months of NBA playoffs coming and also the Masters in 2 weeks, it seems like they will be much higher profile coming up. And the spot looks pretty good here.
I was also thinking banks. I am confident in either a May or June rate bump, and I think that might boost banks, particularly if we stay in a range for oil. A few names on my radar are $OZRK, $BAC, $KEY actually looks okay here, and someone mentioned $PNC which I liked the look of as well.
If anyone else has any ideas, I’d welcome them.

Added to CF at 31.05. Looking for it to move with the upside in Ag commodities through the April crop reports.
