Hey OA — any thoughts on SLCA / HCLP here?
I would wager these stocks stay between their highs from last week, and lows from 2-3 weeks ago for at least a month.
Do you trade spreads? If so, sell Nov premium.

With that kind of volatility, stocks will consolidate for a period of time. I’d say at least 3 weeks based on the volume. Just my opinion.

Immediately sell upside calls to ride out a few swings. Are you able to do that? There is good premium here.

JDST was the only thing in my account that finished green on the day. Nothing else was down by much, but they were red.
Glad as hell I didn’t sell on Monday (like I did with LOCO).

LOVE that strategy for HCLP / SLCA / EMES. If only I played options anymore 🙂 Love the yield on those, if its sustainable.
EMES CC tomorrow should be entertaining . The Wells downgrade was another example of analysts not understanding the extent of the already contracted sand for the next two years .
Took two positions today one in JMEI and the other in TUBE. 2% Risk keeping hints tight. And took the MBLY YOLO for a fun trade

Asian markets ripping higher…last three days in Shanghai Comp negate my sell BABA / short YHOO call. I will go out on a limb and call major bottoms in DDD GPRO and TWTR and recommend folks get very aggressive here. Continued strength in Asia validates strength of yesterday — aka continuation of the Mother of All Bull Markets. Get in!
If you sold out of BABA consider re-entering next week’s 105 calls for around $1.75/contract or better. Longer term Dec 120’s for $1. TWTR Nov 45 calls look right into weakness on tomorrow’s open. DDD, I like the next week’s 40 strike weekly calls at .4 or better. GET IN.
Has anyone looked at this TRW before? Tight consolidation at the highs with I.V. at all time lows. The range targets a move to 113 and the 105 options all the way out to January are .10 on a $100 stock, and that chain looks pretty liquid… Not high beta, but it looks like it moves pretty well when it breaks ranges. And already reported earnings this week. Am I missing something??? Because those options seem scary cheap… like there’s a known reason it shouldn’t move anywhere.

I think we have a few more days of battle on the gold front – problem is that earnings from the miners that are coming out suck, so this is going to be piling on should the price of gold drop precipitously
