I am somewhat speechless. My three main positions right now are $CRTO, $NMBL, and short $MGM. All three are up significantly with the major indices off more than 0.5%. If I didn’t join yesterday, I would today!

Glad to hear the part about catching up. I’ve been following a few guys from iBank for a few motnths just to get better with terminology and such. I too will be singing up for AH shortly. Just had not be comfortable up to this point to pull the trigger. I want to learn by example but be armed to contribute soon there after.
I tell you, it will take no time at all for you to get the hang of what we’re doing. I bet within only a couple weeks, you’ll be able to see and contribute on the same level as the rest of the group.
+1 I was shocked at how fast I started recognizing the patterns we look at and making some high propability trades.

Jeff, as of today, my account is unofficially green YTD after my big stupid losses at the beginning of July. I registered for AH right after that, went +10% for the rest of July, August, and currently hovering between 10 and 20% for September, with a bunch of unrealized gains in BAC, LULU, etc.

Might buy more. The positions I bought last week are only worth $25/ea, so not worth selling in my opinion.
Still in, though I was surprised at the rate of change on the option price in GOOGL. First time I traded it, though not the last.
Oh yeah, it’s a beast. There are a couple of others like this, PCLN in particular. One minute you’re up 200%, the next minute, they’re worthless.
Should have paper traded it first, but now I know. Oh well. Thank God for position sizing.

I have learned to take your advice and understand the nuance now – my main learning point is to not trade so much – passing on a trade is much better than making a bad trade (and position sizing makes a HUGE difference in risk) Thanks OA!

I salvaged on TRIP. Got .25 for them, I think.
GOOGL would have been a better short the minute it broke the trendline quit significantly. However, we tried to “hope” it would correct a little and shoot up like the other plays we have had. “Hoping” always ends up being a risky bet. Lesson learned.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rahetr sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
