OA Sells

I booked gains in JKS ($7.46 – $17.20), ADHD ($14.40 – $15.78) and a loss in VPCO ( – $.11).

I have a few Sep call positions I need to unload this week (FSLR, UNXL, KBH) which I hope to do at higher prices.

Other than this I am bored to death, but like the grinding action in stocks today. If this carries out throughout the week, this is a good sign of market conditions to come.

Hit me up with ideas or questions to keep me awake over here.

OA

OA do you have an opinion on TGT? I’m thinking of letting it consolidate a bit before jumping on some calls. Thanks

While we’re on the subject, could you go into–or at least address– “relative pain” vs. “max pain.” Almost every calculator resource that I’ve researched includes both and they seem to be quite different. I believe “relative pain” is max pain for options bought since the last monthly expiration date. They both seem to come into play.

Thoughts on SOHU? Holding Sep calls, huge volume thus far, previous days lows have not been broken, but pretty fast rejection after the gap up. I’d hold if I had Oct calls, but wondering if the short-dated options might force me to take them off the table now?

OA, love your work. Your volume pocket strategy has improved my buy/sell timing tremendously.

I’ve been holding KWK common for a few weeks now (feels like years), hoping for a big move with rising natty prices. It finally closed above 1.80 on Fri (first time since June) and is following through so far this week (~1.90 currently). Looks like a nice volume pocket to ~2.20. I’m trying to decide between adding here or putting in a tight stop to avoid losing current gains (+20%). Thoughts?

I would do both. This is looking like a great long for the near term.

Great thanks. Quick follow-up regarding options on KWK (and other thinly traded stocks under $5): KWK $1 calls are trading at almost 0 premium (probably.05 to .1 to get filled) out to March ’14. Worth considering? or not worth risk of losing gains due to lack of option buyers?

Just curious what your thoughts are on F. It may not move fast enough for your liking, but if it can ever manage to crack $18, there’s a lot a room to gallop. The volume profile shows almost nothing above that price dating back to the 2001. And even then, the $18 – $23 range it only had a swift move up in 1998 and a swift move down in 2001. I guess my long-winded question is:
Is the volume profile as relevant on this large of a time frame? And is this stock ever on your radar?

yeah, i own a decent amount of F shares from back in Oct 2012 at $10.

Seems like with a little more consolidation in the $17 range combined with some market strength, it might be able to finally pop out of the trading range its been in for the past 10+ years. would like to try to trade it via options, but not i’m conflicted on what timeframe to choose.
