I am tired of this PE argument. The largest company in the world is parabolic and you nailed it. What more do you want?
I would like to formally congradulate anyone that made money and/or financed the retirement of generations of family members off this stock. But don’t base you’re entire thesis of a trillion dollar valuation off of PE and never once mention the possibility of PE spiking due to falling earnings per share. You might get it right, but when you do, don’t claim it’s anything more than luck and being willing to hold the bag longer than anyone else.
“Let’s just assume that Apple beats earnings expectations by an average of more than 20% and is trading with a forward P/E ratio of near 10.0”
Bitch please.
hahaha…i sold half yesterday
CSCo and QCOM went parabolic from like $2.5 to $12.50… before they went to $75
So parabolic doesn’t mean the move is over…
however apple, like many of the very large companies that went parabolic when it singlehandedly is pulling the market up is a bit different.
I trade it like an uptrending stock but tighten the moving averages to 5 and 20 day and/or use a shorter time frame chart since the moves are quicker. Rather than wait for a close on above average volume below the 50 day, use the 5 day instead. Keeps the stop tighter on a move like this.
Ha, ha. I love it. Now that’s a call with some gusto. Points for flare. I mean, all the $600-700 targets are so lame in comparison. $1 trillion, baby! (No position)
