“This country” is Canada. I gather that it would have been illegal for the father to possess the gun in the girl’s picture. Still a wild overreaction, though.
In the US, they wouldn’t lock up the parents for a drawing like that. We freak out about sex down here. If a 4 year old drew a picture of daddy that showed a penis, you’d see the US version of wild overreaction.
