CO has some great towns: Steamboat Springs, Vail, Estes Park, Palisades. But, in general, the “primate population” can raise the blood pressure.

Romney will be another McPain in the general election (base won’t turn out for him).
Unfortunately it has very little to do with what candidate we present. There are very few elections in which the popular vote exceeds 60% and in general the margin of victory is very, very small. Most people just obey the dogma their party preaches. The republicans will quote IBD and Fox news and call CNN the Communist News Network. The democrats will watch CNN and others and read the NYT or what have you and call Fox “Faux” news”.
There are very few independent thinkers, and much fewer thinkers that are both independent and intelligent and not just subject to who’s advertising is more effective on their subconscious from which they draw information.
We are all subject to the Reticular Activating System where we ignore information that contradicts our beliefs and seek out supporting evidence of it.
Bottom line, the economy is good, Obama wins, if it is bad, his challenger wins.
Did anyone catch that Santorum supporter that said “WHOOO [Rick] Sanchez!” instead of Rick Santorum? Hilarious
How deep into the crazy will the GOP electorate dig to avoid having to nominate Romney?
Not deep enough to uncover Ron Paul, but, if Paul is 100 feet deep in the crazy, they’ve just dug their 5th hole down to the 90-foot level.
Santorum on the cause of the recession:
Stressing the importance for the country to provide cheap energy to its citizens, Santorum blamed the recession not on sub-prime mortgages or the derivatives market but on spiking fuel prices.
“We went into a recession in 2008. People forget why. They thought it was a housing bubble. The housing bubble was caused because of a dramatic spike in energy prices that caused the housing bubble to burst,” Santorum told the audience. “People had to pay so much money to air condition and heat their homes or pay for gasoline that they couldn’t pay their mortgage.”
