He gave about ten times as much to charity as any of the candidates (and certainly far more than any of the miserly Democrats).
Don’t confuse “my taxes pay for that” with not caring. Personal charity is personal responsibility for the poor. Allowing the inefficient government take that responsibility from your conscience is risable.
