I’m surprised (shocked?) you haven’t posted anything on Seattle’s “Green Energy” jobs extravaganza:

Perry’s already opened double digit leads on der Mitten. I don’t think bashing Bernanke’s machinations are going to hurt those numbs much.
What have you against Perry, ‘Kite?
Besides him being an easy win against the One?

Damn liberal loony WSJ.

Perry Points to ‘Idiotic’ U.S. Rule That Doesn’t Exist
By Jonathan Weisman
For a small-government conservative on the presidential campaign stump like Texas Gov. Rick Perry, a new federal regulation forcing farmers to get commercial drivers licenses would make a perfect example of Barack Obama’s Washington run amok.
But there is no such regulation.
If the WSJ wasn’t sucking on dirty, liberal, braless hippie teat 24/7, they would have headlined the real outrage of the whole affair – the marxo-commie-socio-fascist jack-booted Feds interfering with an individual state treating its mother-hugging, pie-waving, flag-eating (I may have stumbled there) farmers the way the individual state wants to.
Earlier this year, the State of Illinois began regulating certain kinds of farmers as commercial motor vehicle drivers, a move that caused a lot of consternation in the Illinois farming community, seeing as it would require stiff new driving tests, periodic drug testing and other hurdles. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration stepped in to clarify whether the states had the right to do what Illinois had done, and on May 31, the U.S. Department of Transportation issued a public notice asking for comment on the commercial licensing of farm equipment.
Many in the farm community saw that notice as evidence that federal regulations were brewing, and the rumor went viral. That speeded up the process in Washington. Last Wednesday, the agency moved to put the issue to rest. The guidance the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration put out did exactly opposite what Gov. Perry said. It told the states “the common sense exemptions that allow farmers, their employers, and their families to accomplish their day-to-day work and transport their products to market” should remain in place.
So Governor Perry was talking–this weekend– about a subject that had been a hot topic with farmers across the ag-belt for four months (the “discussion period”), and which had been inveighed against by none other than Max Baucus (D, Montana)as late as July 29th this year, and which had only been actually been decided LAST WEDNESDAY?
excerpted: [“I’ve seen some harebrained ideas come from Washington bureaucrats before, but this one nearly takes the cake,” Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., said Friday”]
That’s your big “gotcha,” Otto?
Hoot!
Someone better send a fast wire to Josh Marshall to start cranking up some better Talking Points for you guys or the Emperor’s New Hearse is going to crash long before next November.

Hmmm, let’s see if I can spot a sliver of daylight between Baucus and Perry.
Baucus:
During the comment period PRIOR to any official ruling from the Feds, Baucus vows to push hard against any “harebrained” rules that would require commercial licenses, etc., etc.
Perry:
AFTER the Feds rule that there won’t be any requirements for commercial licenses, etc., etc., Perry twice tells Iowans that the Feds are going to impose “idiotic” rules requiring commercial licenses, etc., etc.
See? “Harebrained” versus “idiotic”. Totally different.
