Maybe I’m missing something here but it puzzles me that corn, wheat, soybeans and the like are dropping, supposedly because of an anticipated slowdown in the world economy………..What does that have to do with it? Are people going to quit eating because of high grain prices. On second thought, if they have no money to buy grain, maybe it makes sense.

it might be the latter, but the prices are falling due to risk aversion due to a global slowdown. When the markets see shortfalls and horrible crop reports then the prices will bounce again.
