It’s not actually, cronkers.The ECB has to sterilizers the purchases so it’s not QE. At least it has done in the past. I believe they aren’t allowed to QE like that, which is problematic.
What the do is go buy bonds and hand over the money they then go out and drain the cash outta the system
The thing to watch is to see if they do any temporary QE, which is the long term repose they do that allows them to get around the rule. We need to see if they increase that and by how much because that will be the real QE if only temporary.

The only impact is further increasing debt that will have to be destroyed which only ensures a massive global depression. The worst in human history.
