Hope You Had A Good Friday

I myself took the day off, electing instead to file paperwork with the state to clear access to carry a concealed firearm, than to sit and watch the ticks of the day after such a horrendous down move.

Coming into the close, I see I made the right choice. I staved off boredom and simultaneously procured the means to fight off ravenous hordes of homeless folks when all of modern banking collapses and people’s life savings are gone.

Of course, after the United States of America collapses, I won’t care about paperwork, but let’s not get hung up on technicalities.

My portfolio remains unchanged for the day, although my broker and I were having some misunderstandings about my TMF position. To simplify the issues, I covered the short for a loss (it will likely go higher anyway), am looking to reinitiate later on down the road, and am brooding about funneling money out of my accounts, in protest.

They are on thin fucking ice.

Have a good weekend, folks. Meltdown 2.0 commences next week.

I made chicken salad out of canned chicken breast for the very first time in my life today. I used curry powder and craisens. It was okay.

My dad gave me a gun one time to put in my glove box for the trips I used to make up to Marquette. It gave me the creeps, being in my glove box like that, so I gave it back.

I miss Northern Michigan and especially the U.P.. I do see why you want a gun, though.

The trouble with the U.P. is that nothing grows there in the winter. And ice fishing is just retarded.

I just reread my post and realized it sounds kind of asshole-ish. I have been trying to cook with canned goods, just to try and get a feel for the “worst case”. And, I often think of going back up north if the worst case was to happen, because I love the people up there, and I still own a house in the U.P., but you just can’t live off the land up there, so it’s a moot point, really.

Holland is a pretty nice place, though. My DD goes to school there. And I have spent many, many vacations in TC. I got married on Mackinac Island, and have spent many weekends there, too.

Sorry, I didn’t mean for it to sound like it did.

I actually thought it sounded rather Fly-ish, with the bit about the chicken salad sandwich and all… lol.

Holland is “west Michigan” which is the same as saying “West Berlin” in 1976, versus Cain’s “East Berlin” of Robocop Detroit.

There really is no comparison. West Michigan should secede in protest.

Love Holland… one of the nicest towns in America this side of Greenville, SC…. which is Paradise, if you were interested in knowing.

Of course, Greenville does not have the New Holland Brewery, which is a point against… 😉

New Holland is good, but in my opinion has nothing on Dragonmead or Kuhnhenns
