They said it couldn’t be done — but here we are on the precipice of a severe breakout to the upside. Over at House Fly, I was up at 4am trading out of my BENE position for a +67% gain. Such prices have not been seen since 4am, having sold north of $19.5, solidifying my belief that if you’re trading at a broker-dealer who does not offer access to markets starting at 4am — you’re missing out.
Finally I got a big winner and I’d be lying if I didn’t feel relief from it, as said gains propelled me +370bps for the session, +10% for the month — negating last month’s debacle.
The “Best Ideas” portfolio is a new concept. I’ve been fucking around with different strategies in that account all year, none of which have yielded good results. My Quant is balanced once per month, equal weighted, based upon the Stocklabs algorithms. Up 30%+ YTD without ever having to think or worry is a fine year. And lastly my trading, +206% — but FLAT for several months now. I cannot complain about being +200% — but I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you that I wanted moar.
My Mother in law is en route and should be here for at least 3 months. My son, the eldest one, just departed for Miami (work related) and I’ve been driving back and forth to the airport all morning. I’ll have a brief period from now till 2pm to trade, and then it’s back to the airport. Lucky me.
Presently, I am 50% long, 50% cash, notable positions in BITO calls and a pastiche of stocks in all sectors pinned to highs. I’ll be happy if I can press my daily gains over 4%.
