What proof are spy agencies supposed to offer publicly? – the name of their moles in the Russian government that supplied them this information? Nobody is saying that they were able to change the outcome). There is this knee jerk reaction on the right to deny any Russian involvement for fear it will call in question Trump’s victory – in spite of intelligence agencies specifying that the outcome was not changed.
Yes there is a history of US intelligence agency conclusions sometimes being shaped by politicians – see Bush with WMD’s searching for a reason to invade Iraq. But today the government in power is not trying to push the Russia narrative but is rather pushing against it. In spite of this intelligence agencies are united in their conclusions.
