The National Weather Service was warning of a monstrous storm yesterday, one that would lay more than 2 feet of snow on NYC streets and surrounding areas. The net result was more nothing. Great. There’s nothing wrong with being wrong about forecasting the weather. After all, weathermen are barely literate people. But in this particular case, THEY FUCKING LIED — as not to ‘confuse’ the pavement apes who scrape their knuckles on the NYC streets.
Shep Smith laid into them for lying, calling it ‘WRONG’, as flamboyantly gay Shep could only do, always with a flair for the dramatics.
Matt Drudge has been very vocal about the NWS failures, saying it has become a sordid cabal of politcal hacks, Obamaites — offering FAKE WEATHER to the people as a form of wanton perversion of science.
These people should be electrocuted on wrought iron gates, or tossed into active volcanos or twisters. As a meteorologist, I’m sure that’s a nice way to die — having your arms and legs torn from your torso inside of the vortex of a twister — shoveling shit in your mouth the whole time as it tears through some asshole midwest town filled with religious folk.

Also, I don’t think that more budget cuts (to give to the military) have any chance at helping improve weather predictions going forward.
Living where I live, I could not even count how many times my kids stayed home because retards in gov’t closed schools on fake weather warning (snow day, fog day, ice rain, whatever). It’s all bullshit. Public servants, teachers, etc. stay home, get paid, and businesses pay for it.

Yeah, when I went to public school, we had to make up days on Saturdays for any missed days, faked or not. Not anymore. Schools, at least around here, degraded to ‘shady schools’ because of greedy teachers, unions and dumb ass school boards. The closest private school is 125miles from here. No choice.
That’s a bummer. I teach in the Chicago area. I hate weather days because it takes away my summer time.

All weather forecasts should be taken with a grain or two of salt. hey are in the news business also and the worse the forecast the better the ratings. Especially venues like the Weather Channel or Weather.com. Heck even our local station here in Michigan was yapping about the carnage about to be wrought upon the craven cities of the Eastern coasts.
OTOH…imagine the backlash if they had lightened up the forecast and only to have the storm shift east and dump Biblical amounts of white stuff on NY, Boston and the like.
