Everything changed on Monday. I look at the indices hitting new all-time highs and I want to punch people in the face for it. That’s because my stocks are inside of the ice crusher, waiting for someone to push the button. On my future grave, I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that I am 100% fucked. I should just sell everything tomorrow and embarrass myself in less ruinous ways.
My emotional lows gets very low indeud and it’s gonna take a fucking mountainous explosion to the upside to get me in better spirits. Everything I see now is rotten, wretched, stale, putrid. I am not even interested in scanning for stocks any more, let alone think about earnings.
Last I checked, I just cut my own arms and legs off in a series of jackass trades that will go down as the very dumbest of all-time. Sure, my SLCA position was small; but now it’s even smaller. Great job riding that asshole from $45 to $70 and right back down to $30. Splendid money management, Lord Fly of the meat for brains.
I do credit myself for escaping a potential TRN raping. Then again, why was I long in the first place? Oh, that’s right, I was a ‘rail man’. Now I get rail nails to the head. Sure, I got out with just a 5% hickey. But, Jesus Christ was I wrong about this drop in crude. Let’s not forget other long term positions that have been knifed in the face, like BEAV, ICPT, BALT, and CHK–just to name a few.
I know I made a tonne of money last year and I am supposed to accept defeat as part of the game, the learning process that will eventually make me a better speculator. But I don’t want to. All I know is that I sucked and I am nothing, nothing at all, without Dr. Benjamin ‘blunt smoking’ Bernanke.

It’s funny, I’m just a retard who has been holding SPY and AAPL all year and doing nothing, but I am outperforming people who research and think about stocks all day and paying less taxes.
One day you will wake up and you will have lost money. The next day you will wake up and find the money has not come back. One year later you will be thinking a lot about those days, when you could have enjoyed net gains.
That said, long indices has been the trade since late 2011.
I don’t know anything about your industry but what would happen if you did liquidate some of your poorer performing positions? Is it possible to get a redo without sinking the ship? My unsolicited advice would be to cheer the fuck up and move on from the tale of woe.

You took full advantage of the Bernake bull and thanks to your four horseman have taught many an amateur about bubbles. Hopefully you’ll be able to get in tune with market sentiment again and have a great 2015!
We all lose money, and go through dry spells, its the nature of this fucked up business.
I to have taken some horrendous losses this year, but am still up 24.8%.
I bought 50000 NBG at $3.79 and sold at $3.29. Ouch.
I am also losing big on FMSA at the moment, as I am averaged in at $12.64 Ouch.
In on GPRO at $73.77. Ouch
All in all I am down the price of a small mansion in LA on just 3 positions.
Now come February when GPRO go show earnings, what’s it going to be? Outstanding that’s what. Even my wife who is about as tech savvy as a chest of drawers is asking for one from Santa. That for me is a good sign!!
And as for Oil, it will come back, maybe not tomorrow, but definitely in the future 6-months. As the rag-heads are losing $590B that is to much for them and others to ignore. The next meeting at OPEC is scheduled for June-2015, I would bet my life that an emergency meeting will be convened before this date to address the market and cut production.
So cheer the fuck up, and go long on your losers, and enjoy Santa’s return.
