REAL Men Mine for Coal

It was a hard days work–but the coal I mined out from ANR proved to be profitable. Do not think for a second Le Fly diminishes the efforts of coal miners by equating the purchase of equity with actual mining itself. We all know stock brokers are made from the very lowest forms of humanity, conditioned to trick people into unsavory “deals.”

On the other hand, the good people from the Appalachia put the H in Onest. Granted, some of them walk around their small country towns– clad in 100 thread sheets during the night. Nevertheless, coal is where it’s at, fucker; get in the game.

The market is down, back to churning again. Yesterday should have meant ‘break-out’ for bulls. Based on recent history, strong breadth days are sold, leaving the true believers bleeding on the curb, stomped out by cocaine gorillas.

The election of your lifetime is around the corner, might as well prepare for it. I suspect we will be range-bound until King Romney wins or fall on his stupid mormon sword.

Either way, I’m a big buyer of ANR.

Fly, I was quite astonished to come in this morning, wearing full tuxedo and top hat, to be greeted by 187 comments coming from 4 people, turning your blog into bedlam.

Everyone acts like they are 100.0% confident that they know exactly what is going on in their government, and knows that the solution is somehow going to be accomplished by this really simple “this guy / or that guy” installment as figurehead president.

I think that people love to see a fight between two clearly defined sides (must be two). It must always be simplified to Coke or Pepsi, MCD or BK.

Not sure how taking anonymous jabs at each other, in the middle of the night, does anything more than give you a false sense of accomplishment. This is dangerous because then you miss opportunities to truly make a difference.

Keep in mind, while this is going on, your elected Congressfolk are ramming through a piece of legislation at 2 am in secret session, plugging anything that their financial backers are telling them. Something that will drain this country and then somehow explode in ten years.

I prefer to admit that I don’t really know what’s going on. And I’m pretty sure that whomever the president happens to be is not going to move the needle. At least not in any way close to the proportion that some people choose to spend their time fighting. It’s just a diversion, and this is exactly what those in power want to see happen. Congrats.

I’ve tried to stop them from political attacks–but they won’t listen.

The elections are right around the corner. Let them have their fun, for it shall soon end, forcing them to hibernate for another 4 years.

There is a reason one is smart not to discuss politics and religion on most occasions.
It usually goes down to name calling and personal insults on both sides.
A complete lack of understanding and respect that people hold different opinions.

Once in a while some of us get fed up with the Far Right WIng views that are expressed most of the time in the Comments sections here.

Those folks who express those views will never change their minds. But some of us want others here to know that not everyone thinks the same way here– the way that Faux News & Drudge tell them to.

U can’t expect to have a comment section that keeps using repetition of nonsense as a brain washing technique and expect that there will never be any reaction to that.

Truly, the Frog-Teahouse Mutual Back-Patting Society has been a pathetic site.

Frog: “Faux News!”

Tea: “Goebbels!”

Frog: “Oh my yes! FAUX, FAUX News!”

Tea: “Hell yes, it’s Faux!”

(Rinse and repeat)

I don’t understand the ‘Faux’ News line of attack, whereby you insinuate you are somehow more open to ideas than your opponent and completely refusing to acknowledge of the existence of arguably on of the most widely read and popular news sights in the country.

You can’t say, “my oppoenents are all mindwashed because they don’t watch anything but Fox”, and then follow it up with “I refuse to ever watch Fox because they say things I don’t agree with”.

It is mind boggling ignorance on display – the contradiction is blatant

Also, nobody is dumb enough to think Fox isn’t extremely conservative. That’s not the point of reading/watching multiple news sources

Ugh, I apologize for that spelling in advance…I’m just mashing buttons this morning

Jakegint says:

Well, even if “Faux News!” were a legitimate response, calling your respective opponent “Goebbels” certainly is not.

Sure is a sign of a weak argument, however.

Of course, then there’s Ottnott, who is always good with a quick retort to an obviously sarcasatic post (i.e, The New Republic actually has more than 24 subscribers!).

His defense of Obama, however, is as similarly non-existent as that of his lesser learned comrades.

I think the last is documentable, but I doube the former. The mob has historically been very touchy about “the heat,” and I can’t believe they’d ever go that high profile.

That recent story about the “renegade KGB” (later Premier Andropov being one of them) makes more logical sense, however.

Those who argue in favor of the mob hit say that the mobsters were upset that JFK sent his Attorney General (Bobby Kennedy) after them. There were Congressional Hearings instituted by Bobby K.
The again, some say it was Castro ticked about the Bay of Pigs and an alleged attempt by the CIA to kill Castro.

This Obama’s Katrina meme is getting kind of eerie.

Amazing how some of the storm’s worst hit the Irish Riviera (Breezy Point) and the one Republican Borough (Staten Island).

And now, Mr. Vegas is letting those folks eat cake, one suspects.

Someone made a good point yesterday about Bloomberg… he spends an awfully large amount of time concentrating on “banning” various foodstuffs of little consequence in the City, but when large disasters arrive — events that are traditionally the Mayor’s chief responsibility — he’s been notably deficient. First with that snowstorm last year when he was gigged by his own unions, and now with this hurricanoe problem.

Hat tip to Insty for these two from New Yawkahs….

#SANDYFAIL: In Brooklyn, unhappy with Bloomberg: “Yo asshole mayor, turn on your television (instead of being so greedy to get on it) the city is in full blown crisis mode, there are huge disorganized lines for buses, gas, food, water, no trains into Manhattan from Brooklyn, tunnels shut, half the city without power, smoldering ruins in queens, hungry, sick, grieving, fed up human beings, THESE ARE YOUR FELLOW NEW YORKERS (even though your life reflects nothing of theirs). AND YOU WANT TO SHIT ON THEM BY ALLOWING THE MARATHON! THIS IS YOUR LEGACY BERMUDABERG, the mayor that doesn’t give a shit about his people, oh, except to ban big gulps.”

Related: New York’s Incredible Shrinking Mayor. “What would the world have thought of Mayor Nagin if he’d diverted resources from Katrina relief efforts to holding a Mardi Gras parade? Mayor Bloomberg may be about to find out. . . . . As the true dimensions of the damage in New York gradually appear, as the death toll mounts and as chaos at the gas stations and devastation in Staten Island undercut the narrative that the city has responded effectively to the challenge, Mayor Bloomberg looks more like the hapless officials of New Orleans than Rudy Giuliani or Chris Christie. The decision to divert badly needed resources to the Marathon looks callow. Big talk about climate change fails to impress; surely if the Mayor was so concerned about climate change he could have invested more time in flood preparations.”

Ouch!

Sounds like they knew it was a terror attack from word one. Nothing in there about anyone protesting a video made by some mook from the States.

Odd no?

Couple of questions —

Why in the world would they leave the ambassador behind, dead or alive?

Why did they leave the two CIA (Seal?) men on the roof for all that time. \

Why were they taken out so quickly (eleven minutes) by concentrated mortar fire. The word (from military commentators, not “Faux”) was that they were attempting to “paint” targets with lasers for drone strikes that never came. As soon as the lasers were sighted, they were sitting ducks without resultant strikes.

Interesting, but I think we’ve clearly established that the Administration was lying — and attacking the First Amendment in the process — four about five solid weeks until they were forced to urp the truth, in stingy blots…

Greatest attempt at a cover-up since Watergate. Will Obama’s firewall hold up through the 7th?

Frogmarch the lot of ‘em.

Oh absolutely. No, the Obama Administration has egg all over their face on this one, and deserve to be dragged through the mud for it. Pretending like this attack, on the anniversary of 9/11, was sporadic…come the fuck on

But it still looks like Fox got the CIA/response portion wrong. I’m sure gun fire, panic, and chaos can explain the choice to leave the stragglers behind.

Reply
Jakegint says:

“Stragglers” is not the definition of the US Ambassador to Libya.

That would be like the White House coming under fire and someone leaving the POTUS behind… just doesn’t make a lot of sense…

More good news for you fans of that excellent organization, FEMA….

Four of 400 generators installed, but don’t you DARE talk about dismantling FEMA!

Two of those generators are probably for Nurse Bloomberg’s foot warmers. None for you small plebs!

_______

Reply
Mr. Cain Thaler says:

The FEMA lines of attack could be easily dismantled.

Just say, “Okay, we’re breaking FEMA into two organizations to better manage disasters.”

“And guess what, kids! We’re going to increase funding of the part that responds to natural disasters like this hurricane. That legacy organization will still be called FEMA. Hurray!”

No reason to give a shit what you call the other piece that’s left, because as soon as you take the bow, you dismantle it.
