One of the things we do in The PPT is track performance of all stocks during our OVERSOLD and OVERBOUGHT cycles. This gives me an edge by highlighting median or mean returns for the highest beta stocks traded, with accuracy to boot. The following list of stocks (my gift to you) tend to outperform all other stocks during OVERSOLD to OVERBOUGHT cycles. As a point in fact, PPT members do not have access to this data yet, as it is still in BETA, soon to be released in PPT 2.0.
(Stock, Median Return)
AG +16.27&
LNG +13.8%
HFC +9.6%
EXK +9.4%
CVI +9.38%
GPOR +9.2%
REGN +8.7%
WNR +8.02%
COG +7.8%
MDW +7.7%
The best performing ETF is AGQ with an average return of 17.64%. ERX is 3rd with a 7.44% return. If you want more info, quit being such a fucking piker and purchase membership.

The Fly is God.
I am starting to think ‘The PPT’ is god, his enemies are ants, and The Fly is small child with a magnifying glass.
Timely. ‘Tis that time of the year for the ant colonies to rise, on calendar, from their chambers.
How many years is the study period? Just wondering if this analysis spans a full or numerous business cycles.
Very interesting approach.
This specific data set is over the past year of OS to OB cycles, a total of 12 cycles.
wow! Very cool data.
Oh, and thanks for making this available.
In the analysis of any data set over a year period you will, by random chance, have a top ten. This does not, I suppose, either prove or disprove that these same ten will continue to provide outsized gains. Though it is most certainly a good place to look! Thanks again.
Interesting. Mostly gold/silver miners and refiners out that ten.
It simply tells you where the hot money is, at a minimum. Also, most of these stocks are 90%+ win rates.
All I care about is the OWL is back! Thank you Fly. Oh yeah.. and for the PPT too.
Sell TZA, buy TNA is looking god like

…Best of luck tomorrow!!!
I am surprised that TNA is not on the list. Where did it come in at?
There were just stocks. TNA is high on the ETF list, around 5.6%, which was offset by a 33% loss during the crash in early August. If you ex that out, TNA is the most consistent leveraged performer to the upside.

“Investors also continued to seek the safety of United States Treasury bonds, as yields on two-year bonds briefly touched 1.90 percent, the lowest ever, before closing at 1.98 percent.”
A month after the S&P downgraded US debt, it is in higher demand than ever before. This, coupled with record prices of physical gold. What an extraordinary flight to “safe” assets. Are these aftershocks of a massive banking crisis, or precursors?
how if I told you that my kid’s school is next to a fire department that was out protecting areas where the state cut the budget for volunteer fire fighters and my kids school burnt down to the fucking ground. I’d bet you would be pretty impressed and would think to yourself that might make a pretty good political ad.
You need medication.
agreed

OEW Daily Recap:
“Thus far this pullback looks like the Major wave B we had been expecting. This market moves quite fast nowadays. But as long as the OEW 1136 pivot holds so should the short term count. The first objective, if Major wave C is now underway, would be to hit the OEW 1176 pivot. Then use the 1168 pivot as support as the market works its way higher. This is a fast market, and for traders only at the moment.”
WSJ reporting S&P discussed US downgrade with certain bond investors before the fact…just as fly suspected. Good call.
Fly and Jeromy. Can not see Woodshedder’s post for the past couple days on main page. They are only showing up ont he Blogs tab.
