SRI LANKA COLLAPSES FOLLOWING RUINOUS ESG POLICIES VIA IMF

Victoria Nuland visited Sri Lanka on March 22nd. Shortly after the country collapsed. But the cause of the collapse, at least in this case, wasn’t because Victoria paid a visit, but instead due to ruinous climate policies imposed on them via the IMF.

The details are nothing less than staggering.

Sri Lanka was supposed to be the neo liberal pet project to usher in bullshit agricultural policies, similar to what they’re trying to do in Netherlands and Canada now. The premise: cattle is bad. Fertilizers are bad. Use synthetic crap. Eat bugs.

The net result was a collapse in rice yields, famine, and forcing the Sri Lankan govt to import rice at elevated prices. Previous to this experiment they never had to import rice.

Over the past 50 years the IMF bailed out Sri Lanka 16 times. There is something to be said about enabling and there’s also something to be said about signing a deal with the devil.

In the coming decades there will necessarily be a major discourse on if women like Vandana Shiva are evil or just stupid.

Well, I am here to tell you that those two things don’t have to be mutually exclusive. It is actually quite possible for Shiva to be evil AND stupid. She is an evil moron.

wait – you guys think GMO-Monsanto globalist seed slavery is good and “organic” is bad? dissing Vandana Shiva because she advocates for the importance of biodiversity and more healthy sustainable farming practices? disastrous results from policy decrees aside- it should be a hands off my poison free-for-all?
      i don’t get it?

Shiva gins up suckers with lots of scary sounding talk about modified organisms even as she ushers in famines. She is a constant source of disinformation.

            Beats eating nothing at all.

I’ll be the first to admit GMO research poses elevated risks that simple organic chemistry or natural cultivation does not possess. But that doesn’t mean existing GMO products are risky either. Many of them have been a great benefit to us. New rice strains are curing blindness. Disease resistant crops are reducing pesticide use. These are good things.

Shiva gives the game away. She calls GMOs basically poison, then complains Indian farmers need to keep buying the seeds. If they were actually poison why would they want to buy the seeds?

I’ve already seen Food Inc. Monsanto engaged(s) in aggressive and unethical business practices and I’m all for government putting this kind of thing under tight wraps. But that’s hardly a ringing endorsement of Shiva, who just set off a food crisis in a developed nation.

The Shiva’s of the world pose a much larger threat than the Monsanto’s. For their part, farmers may complain about Monsanto but we still have large scale adoption of GMOs anyway. And it’s probably a necessary evil to keep humanity fed and safe from crop failures going forward. Monsanto is like a very low probability black swan event (not to be discounted look at what scientists did with covid).

But the Shiva’s can have us all starving tomorrow. They are the compliment of black swans; the high probability disaster.

Monsatan had to ditch the name. Bayer paid $10 billion settlement just for pr. Yea, right. No wrong doing, business as usual. The gov is cooperating. They will not save anyone but themselves

Hold on a sec Pal. Soon as Trudeau gets ditched we’ll be better. Maybe. Actually our Marxist is quite theatening compared to your aged, end of life one. Anyway, a nice shitty economy for a while will deal with them both obviously. Your outfilt, however, has another waiting in the identical suit out back. Whilst we are quite happy to elect university students and will hopefully continue to do so.

    What a cocksucker!

To hope to eliminate glyphosate, which is shattering millions of human lives, is to neo-liberal?

Don’t use round up, it’s as fine as the jab. Stop being political and be smart.

It’s fine. Probably so is the jab (albeit ineffective and much beyond avoiding extreme cases).

Can’t argue, as long as you’re true to yourself. If you want that poison in your body injected or ingested that’s your call. I’ll pass

i’m no fan of Nuland or the IMF but the ruling Rajapaksa Brothers Welcomed China with Open Arms years ago and now are reaping what they sowed. They tried to consolidate political power in the country by allowing China to colonise and debt-trap it through nepotistic graft sold as infrastructure projects. Do some research. The CCP is pushing this model throughout the BRI. The destabilization could very well be a power play but are you on the side of the CCP? You certainly wouldn’t be posting all these splendid candygrams from your political prisoner concentration camp with them in charge. Wake TF up.

    what an in-depth analysis!

So, a country that has defaulted 16 x in 50 years is this time not at fault, because?

Because, externals trying to help them become more self-sustainable helped them and. failed. One has to wonder if it’s the plan but the execution of the plan that is at fault here.
