DECENTRALAND

I’ve more than doubled my money since buying MANA about a week ago. I was attracted to it after seeing the NFT craze bubble. I’ve made about 10x in my ETH holdings since last year, so delving into a little MANA wasn’t a concern for me. I take risk every single trading day, far crazier shit than a virtual world.

But then I started to research it and the more I did the more I liked it. I don’t play games, but if I did, I’d love this fucker. The whole virtual world is based off the MANA currency. The exchange rate fluctuates with the crypto markets. You can buy land, build a home, or an estate. You can even lease out part of your land to others who want to advertise and earn MANA, passive income. The value of real estate there is up 4000% since 2018. The cost of goods, for clothes, armor, bullshit, is based in MANA and everything can be resold in the Decentraland marketplace.

You’re hearing a lot about digital art. Well, you can display your digital art in your digital home and invite people to view it there. Or, you, as an artist, can display it in the local museum.

Corporations are buying land there, for obvious reasons. Atari just announced they’d build a casino there. You can gamble inside this virtual world and win or lose MANA. I’m sure this has been done before and I’m sure 95% of you reading are laughing at my naivety. Nonetheless, at just $1b in value, MANA likely has room to go for further upside appreciation. Just think about a Tesla store inside DECENTRALAND and what that might do for the FOMO.

My sole concern with this narrative, aside from cryptos topping, is the rapid appreciation of the DECENTRALAND currency. If MANA keeps soaring, people won’t be able to afford anything in the game and lose interest. It would be a playground for only rich crypto retards, cavorting with one another in virtual champagne parties displaying their new million dollar works of digital art.

I’m in the same boat. I’m going to keep the trade as a long term hold. Everything is so inflated I wouldn’t be surprised to see multi dollars soon in this name.

When do we start seeing ‘mostly peaceful’ protests in ‘Manaland’ because the green pixels are systematically racist to the purple pixels and we thus must redistribute everyone’s Mana income?

In 50 years the VR hellscape will allow for and accommodate all types of degeneracy. If you have enough MANA… That is….

I’m fairly certain the human race will have ceased to exist in 50 years.

LOL. We’re the simulation. All that’s happening. Just a simulation.

You, me …all old farts know that, in a real world we’d have to make stuff in order to have prosperity. In this simulation, it’s just printed …digitally, of course; no need to kill simulated trees.

    Digital art is not new.
Elaine in Seinfeld was showing her boss Mr. Pitt the ” digital” painting that Kramer brought over.

I sure miss the simpler times when Green Stamps were the rage. I’m supposed to spend real money to buy digital land? My teenage son just became a Scottish Lord for 25 bucks by buying two square feet of an estate there. That makes better sense. Right?

I think my parents got our dishes using Green Stamps.
I was doing digital art 60 years ago.
      It was called Etch-a- Sketch.
